because i printed someones recipe, then i realized it said no butter or salt popcorn. and i already popped 3 bags of popcorn ,before i realized it said that. will it still work though?

Generally, in making caramel, butter is added, creating a rich, sticky substance. It's then distributed over the popcorn, as a candied semi-liquid goop.

Your popcorn will already have the "extra butter", with some salt.
There might be a bit of a clash in "tastes".

So I guess you're out of popcorn huh ?

If you do go-for-it, post back whether it was a success or not during the best answer selection phase.

If it turns out OK, it will give the rest of us another " OOP's recipe for our repertoire.

Yes. If you just simply melt butter and brown sugar in a pot, then dribble over popcorn, even buttered popcorn, it works. I dont know about whatever recipe you got, but it will work, it just may taste a bit butter-y then intended.

No, thats gonna be gross. But, who knows, I've never tried it. Just sounds gross.
