Did God really make Eve from one of Adam's ribs? No.. This is just a male kinda thing to write in the bible.
And why do men and women have the same number of ribs if God stole one from Adam. Adam died with one less rib. If my dad got a rib removed before he had me, I'm still gonna have a full set regardless.

If I were to go in and surgically remove one of your ribs, would all your children be born short a rib? Of course not. I someone has a finger cut off, are their children born a finger short? No. Acquired traits are not based on to children. So why would you think that Adam's would be?
As to why God made made Eve from a part of Adam, rather then from the earth is a Bible principle. Whatever something is "created from" is where it gets its nature. When God created Adam it was by mixing "dust" with his own spirit. So man has two nature - a flesh or worldly nature and a divine nature.
By creating Eve from a part of Adam, it shows that they share the same nature. Had God gone back to the earth to make Eve, then she and Adam would not have shared the same nature and been a part of each other.

If you get your appendix taken out, that doesn't mean all of your children will be born without appendixes. That's why we all have the same amount of ribs.
God wanted woman to be part of Adam. Husband and wife are one in each other. The same unit. It was a way of bonding them. Some consider that God chose the rib b/c it comes from the side indicating woman and man are to be side by side in support to one another.

God used one of Adam's ribs to create Eve because women are special beings. When He completed sculpting Eve, God returned the rib to Adam and everything was dandy until the evil snake appeared....

There are actually 2 versions of the Genesis creation myth in the bible, Genesis 1, and Genesis 2. Read them for yourself. The creation stories are quite different.
In one of them, god creates both adam and eve out of the dust. In the other, he realizes adam is lonely and makes woman out of his rib.
Men and woman have the same numbe of ribs because that is the way we evolved.

Men and women have the same number of ribs. Have you ever seen a male skeleton as compared to a female one?
God did make a woman out of dust. Her name was Lilth, but she didn't submit to Adam so God destroyed her and created Eve.

Good question. This is why people migrate from literal to the inspired spiritual meanings behind the stories in the bible. God doesn't need ribs to form a thought. Creation happened in chapter 1, and then in chapter 2 the mist came upon thought, and so on and so on....

Personally, I do not believe the story is literal. It's an allegory meant to explain the beginnings of life to a people who would not have understood otherwise.
But if it were true, there would be a good reason we all have the same number of ribs. If you lost a hand in an accident, would you expect your children to be born without a hand? Of course not. Injuries and surgeries are not hereditary.

God knew that little boys might want to favor to play contained in the airborne dirt and mud. He also knew that it would want to be significant to reveal that women all of us is the same as adult men contained in the destiny, in the different case he might want to have taken out a foot bone or something instead of a rib from Adams aspect. for sure airborne dirt and mud to airborne dirt and mud applies to women. Eve change into created from a rib that change into created from airborne dirt and mud yet adult men are merely in the route of the airborne dirt and mud. (consequently the reason they chew the airborne dirt and mud earlier to women human beings) adult men don't have fewer ribs than women human beings now because there have not been anymore women human beings created from ribs...Duh! :)

Men have 1 less rib than women do....
God made Adam first then realized He could do better, so He made Eve, the woman.
