I need to go to the dentist for a filling, and was wondering if that was covered by the government or not. If not, can anyone tell me how much i should expect to pay?

No, it's not covered by the government. I live in Ontario and i had just seen a dentist last week, xray and consultation cost me $50, filling will cost about $80-250 depending on how big the cavity is.

No, it's not covered. A filling will be about $100 or so. You can try going to a university dentistry school. They often charge less so that the students can practise on people.

No, it's not covered in Ontario anyhow by our health care system. For a filling it should be about 150-200.

Dental bills are not covered in Canada. In the US, you can expect to pay $150.00 or more for a filling. Why? Because they have to take X-rays first before they will even touch you.

Dental care is not covered by the government. Most companies cover it through a work policy. If you don't have any coverage, usually the dentist will charge you less than if you have a plan.Mention it to them.

unless the dental work has to be done in a general hospital because of some other condition such as asthma or heat conditions no. the goverment will provide dental care at no cost to people who are on welfare or on disabiliy .
most others either have a dental plan from work or they might just pay out of pocket or even join a plan on there own.
