i believe in it, i always have, even in my christian days.
its hard for me to believe that there are billions upon billions of souls in heaven or hell, lying there eternally, living peacefully (for heaven) or being tortured (for hell)
I believe a soul goes through around 12 rounds of life, to learn everything they need to about life, and then retreat into the summerlands, and then can return if desired...
just be open minded... Reincarnation is a big belief in hinduism, which is one of the earths oldest religion, before god created heaven... and jesus came...

Because it's like saying a baby who is born missing a physical attribute (eg. arm, hand, finger, leg, etc) will re-enter the the world of the womb and keep re-entering the womb until he/she finally developes that physical attribute. The divine Plan isn't set up that way.
We have one chance in this, the first world, to develope the spiritual attributes that mirror God. If we choose not to develope those, we enter the next world at a disadvantage. Progress of our soul is still possible, but will be more difficult to attain.

Angry Yet's answer is too cute!
I don't feel as if I identify with anyone from the past in a way that would suggest I lived a former life. Same goes for animals. It's too abstract of a concept to relate to.

becuase it's like recycling a person's soul. Each person is an individual with an individual life and to say that reincarnation exists is like saying a person with special qualities only given to them is going to be erased and reused. But truly that person lives on as that person with that soul forever.

Because, first of all there's no proof. Second, it might be easier, if it were true, to be able to remember past lives. Since most of us remember from just an early age of THIS life, it's hard to believe there was anything else.

>>"Because Scripture tells us differently..."It is appointed for man once to die, then the judgment". "<<
yes, judgement for that life.
the MAN, the form, and the person who that soul was THAT life, dies once.
then is judged for that life.
than that soul, goes on to their next life.
seriously people. use your head. this isn't that hard.
as said.... Reincarnation is not hard to believe in unless you worship the hateful idol that most of christianity does, that would only give you one chance, and then damn you for eternity with infinite punishment for trivial "crimes".

No evidence. That ought to be a pretty simple thing to prove if it were true. You ought to be able to find all kinds of archaeological sites through the hypnosis you guys like to point at.

If I make it through this world one time. Why would I want to do it again? I would rather believe the Bible when is says you only get one life to get it right. When I done I want to be done.

I don't think it's more difficult to believe than everlasting paradise. There are different views of what happens after death, and since we can never know, any view is as plausible as any other.
