here's a recipe for coconut pecan frosting using sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk...be careful not to cook the mixture too long

1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/3 cups coconut flakes
1 cup chopped pecans

Stir together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and butter in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans. Cool to room temperature. About 2-2/3 cups frosting.

Better check the sweetness of the condensed milk and consider the amount of sugar you use.
Meanwhile, here's a condensed milk frosting recipe you might be able to adapt:
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
5 tsp. vanilla
Beat shortening and butter approximately 5 minutes with electric beater. Add condensed milk and beat another 5 minutes. Add vanilla and beat again until frosting reaches desired thickness.

You can substitue condensed milk. Every recipe I've seen for German Chocolate cake icing calls for 12 oz. of condensed milk anyway. I've never seen one for evaporated milk. Condensed milk tastes better too.

You could use heavy cream but it will add a lot of calories and fat. 2% milk is thinner than evaporated milk, your frosting would be runny if you used 2% milk. You might be able to reduce the milk to 2 oz until the frosting is just spreadable, but no guarantee it would work right.

Condensed milk generally is Sweetened condensed milk and would replace evap milk and some or all of the sugar.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fresh vegetables are typical right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
