APPLE ARE RESPONSILE - they should have made the darn thing waterproof.... they have all this technology and can't make it waterproof when cameras are, phones are but I-pod isn't hmmmmm....... Apple are responsible

The person that left it in the tracksuit. We all have to be responsible for the things that we care about, and that means giving extra thought about the little details like 'is it unlocked?' or 'was the dog fed?'. Sorry but that's the real 411.(information)

The person responsible is the idiot who washed the tracksuit with the iPod in it, but as long as the tracksuit it alright, that's all that matters.

Did the person know that the suit was going to be washed if not then the person who washed the track suit is responsible for not having checked the pockets before putting it into the wash.

Well, who was doing the washing? If a longtime wife, then you could ask her why she did not check as she must be use to you leaving things in the pockets! If a commercial laundry, you did it and are responsible.
