The average time for a dog's pregnancy is 63 days from when she was bred. The dog can have the puppies easily 3 days before or 3 days after this time. Any time earlier than 3 days, the puppies may not make it. Any time after the 3 days, the dog needs to go to the vet.
If you don't have a Whelping box ready yet, please get one ready. If you can't get one, use a wire dog crate with baby bumper pads around it. Cover the crate with a blanket to make it dark for her.
Take her temperature and wait for it to drop to the 98 - 99 degree range. Keep a close eye on her. Depending on how many puppies she is caring, she may need help. You may be the one that needs to help her.
If you need more help on this, please do not ask "natasha_cocker@yahoo.com" she is a fraud. Yahoo has removed questions and answers from her yesterday.

If she breed multiple times it is 59 days from the first breeding or 63 days from the last. You have about a week long window. I know when my dog had puppies we would just look at her everyday and say "She's gotta have them tomorrow she can't possible get any bigger!" BTW she had 11 puppies!
I saw someone else had written about a welping box...We had a baby pool and it worked great. It kept all the mess inside and was easy to clean up after. And Lily stayed in it with the puppies until the were able to crawl out at 4 weeks.

It's 62 days from when she got pregnant, so if you don't know when that happened, a vet could tell you more accurately than we could. Signs that she is going to give birth in the next few hours include loss of appetite, a drop in temperature (which means you should start taking her temperature rectally to get an idea of what her temperature normally is), restlessness, and licking and looking at her vulva.
Your vet could also prepare you for the birth. You may have to attend to the puppies: cutting the amniotic sac, suctioning out the goo, stimulating the puppy. The vet can also let you know signs to watch for that there is a problem. If she is in labor for an hour without producing a puppy, you should let her walk around outside. She might feel like she has to go to the bathroom but can't go. However, if she is in labor for three hours without producing a puppy, call the vet!
Good luck!

Anywhere from 58-63 days usually. If she was bred over several days, it is best to count from the first mating (that way you're ready for the arrival).
She will start to nest, so provide her with a blanket. When she start digging at it and pushing it up the way she wants it, and gets restless and starts panting, she's close.

You would count from the day she was bred. Her teats will wax, her temp. will drop a degree 24 hours before she delivers, her vulva will become very swollen and the muscles around the tail head will soften a lot. When birth is imminent she will whine and go around in circles and ask to go out and in and out. She will act generally nervous. Pups should follow shortly.

Why is your dog pregnant? You are a backyard breeder!!
Your dog should not be pregnant, nor should she have to go through with this!!!
She deserves medical care, and then a spay!!
Grr...get a clue or give up your dog!!!!
