So lotion is like for every day use and cream once-twice a week?

Most of what the others are saying is quite on the right track...the container has almost nothing to do with it. The Silk Cream is much thicker than a lotion...its a more concentrated lotion...its more effective. Just like someone else mentioned Body Butter...that is a great cream...but if its really natural ingredients...try to stay away from alcohol based creams and lotions.

And also, depending on your skin type (i.e. normal/dry, normal/oily, very dry..etc.) you should usually use either lotion or cream every day after you shower....preferably 5 minutes after you shower...since it is then when your body absorbs the most moisture.
the link i gave you is where i used to work, The Body Shop. its like bath and body works only more natural and more organic.

Lotion is more liquid and usually will pour or pump out of the container. Creams are thicker and you will have to actually dip into the container to get them out. Lotions rub in quickly, while creams require more massaging to do the same. Lotions are more easily washed off while cream usually resists water a bit better.

I believe the cream is thicker...like the difference between body butter and lotion.

I will tan you -- but only if you apply it exactly evenly will it be an even glow. I used the Jergens natural glow on my body and it gave me a tan but I didn't like it. I didn't know it actually dyes your skin, I just thought it had shimmering stuff in the lotion. I put a lot of lotion on my feet when I sleep and when I got up the next day they were orange, with really dark spots and some light spots -- it was all uneven! I hate orange fake tans!! Long story short -- apply evenly if you must apply at all!

THE CREAM IS USUALLY THICKER AND GIVES YOU A DIFFERENT FEELING THAN JUST THE LOTION. YOUR ALL SET FOR WINTER.
