Well, many people assume that if you don't date or get married early you are gay or a lesiban.

Some people just think, "Oh, they don't date around like everybody else, so they must be gay..." without thinking of other possibilities, like general disinterest or abstinence. People don't think sometimes and think that everyone else should live their lives exactly as they do. Personally, I don't pay them any mind. If I'm not interested in them, then they don't matter.

It is very common to hear this.. One thing is the wrong idea about what really is true about alternate lifestyles. Those in it want many more to be in it, and those not, may take the word of those that are? Amazing that we would believe those that deny the way they are made to accuse another, who does not! Think of it another way... if the other gender thinks you are, you may not be in the running for them or others of the opposite gender! A guy or girl may spread that lie just to get you out of the competition! Our hormones peak at different times and some girls mature early as do some guys. However, don't take it lying down when anyone accuses you... tell them where to go as they may end up there for accusing you falsely, anyway!

people date before 20 yrs because they want to start looking for their soulmate. the reason people say that people are gay if they don't start dating before 20 yrs is because they have never seen this person with the opposite sex in a romantical area. I have a friend who is always put down because he wants to wait a little to date, I mean he is 17 and is allowed to but he just doesn't want to. He is always called 'gay', 'retarded', or 'bi' but he really is the most awesome guy friend I have.

I did not date before I was 20 and yes the gay rumours did start flying. It's unavoidable I suppose.

people date beofre 20 for the experience. to know what they like and dislike.
i persoanally dont say that people are gay. but i guess its because people think that you arent experienced because you are scared of the opposite sex. i dont know really.
