his feathers. Is this his way of greeting me and being happy to see me?

Exactly! In his own way, he is pleased to see you and doing what birds do to say hello ....... enjoy his enthusiasm!

Im assuming you must have a very close bond with your bird? He is displaying and in his own birdie way saying "WHOOHOOOO There's ma Girl" when he see's you..
If you are a female and your birds a male, he is acting and truly believes that you are his partner.. do you find he gets a little protective over you when other people are around... especially males? If he doesn't yet im sure he soon will LOL.. have fun, you have a friend for life...

i hope so cos my parrot does the same and he came from a broken home..im just getting to know him...hasnt bitten me yet..but he did **** on me

Mine does the same thing! He raises his wing. . . it's funny. I dunno what it means though! Hopefully something good!
