You can bring a cell phone as a carry on but u have to turn it off unless you have airplane mode (slivers have it), You should probably bring some snacks such as chips or sweets because the airplane food is usually bad. Bring a game-boy or some portable electronic like a ipod because you usually get bored the first five minuets. Also bring a book if you can read in a moving environment. Airplanes aren't that fun so bring a ton of little things to keep you occupied. One last thing sleep is the best!

Depending on how long your journey is...

I usually bring a book and/or a magazine,
my iPod,
a pen to do the crosswords and Sudoku's in the on-board magazine (if nobody has beaten me to it yet),
a change of underwear in case my bags get lost,
a toothbrush if its a long flight,
handcream and lipbalm because the air is so dry on board,
chewing gum (helps with the ears during landing and take-off).

Its no problem to bring your cell or other electronic devices, as long as they are turned of during take-off and landing.

Remember that any liquids or gels (make-up, etc) may not exceed 3ounces (100ml) per container, and must be placed into a clear, resealable plastic bag (think ZipLoc) for Security inspection.

My essentials:

Buy a bottle of water AFTER you pass through security
Less-Drowsy Dramamine
Chewing gum
Book/magazine

Yes, you can bring a cell phone as a carry-on but you can't use it while the plane is moving.

Yes, you can carry your cell phone, you will be instructed to power off at certain times. I would check with the airlines as each has the limitations. You are allowed one carry on on some airlines and two on others. Checking with the airlines is the best bet...then you will know....have a happy flight!

You can bring a cellphone, but you can't use it during the flight. I bring magazines and books. Don't bring food on the plane(they give it to you). And if you have it, you might want to bring something like an iPod.

You can bring your cell phone with you, it just needs to be turned off while you are on the aircraft. As far as what else to bring, i never travel without my ipod and my laptop.

I like to bring water, snacks and a good book. I also like to have,in my carry on, toiletries and a change of underwear. If you've ever had misdirected baggage you will appreciate this. You can bring your cell phone on in carry on but please leave it turned off.

Try not to bring anything. I hate stupid people that bring all sorts of junk on to a 4 hour flight.
