Although Lexapro does not interact with alcohol, the manufacturer recommends avoiding alcoholic beverages.

I think you can enjoy a little New Year's Eve celebrating without a problem. Just be self-aware and be careful. Others who are out celebrating may be more deadly than this mix. BTW, you don't need to have ' alot of alcohol to have fun '.

If you are considering doing this, you are already sick. Alcohol will negate the effects of Lexapro. Continued use of alcohol in a person with depression/anxiety disorder is just asking for trouble.

i am on lexapro..i had a few drinks at a footbal lgame last month. i didnt get sick...i think that it is one of those where alcohol doesnt really affect it that much...there are others i have taken that you shouldnt mix alcohol with...but as far as i can tell, lexapro is not one of them

Simple sulution. DON'T DRINK!. Even if it's only New Year's night, and it's one time. People will know. They will smell it on you, and no one will wanna be around you. So easy. Your call.
