with bad credit you won't be able to lease a car or buy one from a reputable dealer without a good cosigner. I would suggest either get a co signer to go in with you on the car or go to a buy here pay here lot where the prices will be more than what that same car would cost you normally from a regular dealer. another way is to come up with a large down payment and then talk to some of the smaller dealerships that only see dollar signs not credit scores.. Beware of deals that seem to good as they usually are. Dealers know that if you have bad credit they have you where they want you and will try to make you think you are getting a good deal and really aren't.. Try CarHop if you have one in your area. They don't require a big down payment and will let you make your down payment in installments while you are driving the car you wanted to buy from them. Most buy here pay here lots also require a bank account from which they will require a automatic payment..

Forget credit.... buy with cash.
A vehicle is the worst investment that anyone can make in their lives, but yet we are all hooked on them so we buy them. Whether you have good credit or bad credit, paying someone money so that your vehicle will drop like a rock in value is always a bad idea.
In your case with bad credit, all you can hope for is to keep your shorts if you try to finance. Reputable leases don't even happen.
Save you money and buy with cash, you'll never regret it.

Save up to have a larger down payment. Be reasonable in choosing a vehicle that will be practical, not flashy. Remember to calculate operating costs, like maintenance and fuel and insurance, in your budget.
