Darlin', did you chose this avatar and question to further the belief that blondes really are dumb?
Our troops are highly skilled professionals, not the cannon fodder of the Napoleonic wars.
We aren't sending anybody anywhere to pointless slaughter. It's unfortunate but always true that war produces casualties.
Stalin sent his punishment battalions marching into minefields, but that was Stalin.
If you could cut the cost of training an infantryman to, say, $100,000, would you really want to spend that kind of money on felons you couldn't trust to do a job? Especially when you consider the damage they could do.
This is all so silly, I just have to assume the peroxide penetrated the scalp too deeply.

Unfortunatley, and ironically there will be a lot of Politicians rallying against the Death row inmates` deployment, but they just don`t care about our brothers, and sisters..

Hello? Then whats the point of an "All volunteer Army?"
And most of them are there for CRIMES? Such as rape, weapons, etc. Do you really want that going on EVEN MORE SO in IRAQ? Remember, the civilians are innocent. It was their leaders we were trying to get rid of, not wipe the country clean.

I totally love your question and agree whole heartedly with your solution and I'm not even American. I think it would be a great solution to the growing population of death row inmates. Just think of the money saved on prisions.

As a woman going into the service whose only crime was coming from a poor family who couldn't afford college, it would be super sweet to know that the guy next to me is a serial rapist.
Get a clue!

Prisoners wouldn't be controllable. I understand your point I have felt that way myself.
But... giving loaded weapons to convicted criminals would only give them the opportunity to empower themselves. Criminals are self-serving naturally they hold no affiliations to the government that imprisoned them in the first place. There is no honor among criminals.

Because then America would be no better than China, who sentences more people to death than any other country...then takes and sells their organs.

Not a good idea. Do you really want these guys to go abroad and represent your country? Also, do you really want to start training criminals in military combat?
