This may sound awkward but it has become quite an devasting situation for me. Whenever I was at a public pool or public bathroom my son and I would get stares. The first couple of times I didn't think much of it. I thought maybe people were looking at us because they didn't feel confortable seeing my son bottomless in public. I told my sister-in-law that I was getting these awkward stares and said to her that our town is full of prudes. It's a 3 year old boy for crying out loud. My sister-in-law then gave me some alarming news. She told me that it's probably not due to him being bottomless or naked but probably because of his genitalia. I said what about his genitalia. My sister-in-law who has 2 boys of her own told me that it's probably because Kyle's (my son) penis is smaller than usual. I have never had a child before nor have I seen another toddler's genitalia but still I don't get it? I do admit it doesn't really look like he has much of a penis but still he's a 3 year old boy. I don't get why that can be getting stares? It's not like he's 30 years old. Ever since my sister-in-law told me this I have been embarassed to change my son or let him run around naked anywhere, even at home. I have not consulted my husband with this situation as I'm sure it'd be uncomfortable for him. Am I just being neurotic or should I take him to the doctor and see if he actually has some sort of medical condition? Any mother's out there with advice or similar experiences please help me feel confortable with my son again.

If you child regularly sees his doctor and there was a concern he/she would have mentioned it to you. Perhaps ask the doctor if it really bothers you. People probably are just staring because he is running around naked. I don't like letting my son run around naked because there are perves, everywhere. If your sister-in-law isn't a doctor tell her to shove it its probably some form of sibling rivalry. Don't worry about it, I can understand why you'd be upset but I'm sure its just a silly little comment that she made.

A three year old is too old to be running around naked in public, that is why they are staring. Every young boy has a small genitalia, that is not why people would stare. People stare because that is about the age you have to teach the child that nudity anywhere but in the home is wrong. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

Are you sure that the general public knows what a average size of a toddler penis looks like? Because I sure don't, and I don't know anyone one who does. If your child had a medical condition your doctor should have said something 3 years ago. Don't make a issue out of it so your son doesn't get insecurities.

It's probably 'hidden penis' due to all the skin being removed when he was circumcised. A fair lot of circumcised boys/babies look like they don't have a penis (and thus, emasculated), and instead just a little 'ball' sticking out of their fat pad. It's pretty sad.

EDIT: On the whole "don't let your kid run around naked!!!!!111" note, anyone who thinks children are sexual (and thus, thinks of them sexually in terms of needing to 'hide their privates') is messed up. He's a freaking baby still, and it's not like he's 8 years old or something. So long as it's in a family-oriented place and you're with him, there's nothing wrong with it. He doesn't need to be shamed.

It sounds like you're being extremely neurotic- I can almost guarantee that no one is interested in the size of your child's schlong- however- he's probably a bit old to be naked from the waist down. If people ARE actually staring, I imagine it's for a reason other than the size of his package.

I can tell you right now that it has nothing to do with the size of his genitalia.. It's not okay for anybody to run around bottomless in public.. That's just the way it is, and to be honest with you there are a lot of perverts out there.. Be careful with that.. They prey on people like you who let their kids do things like that.. I'm not trying to be mean, but you have to be careful these days.. Good luck to you..

Don't let him run around naked in public. That isn't right for any age. At home, there is nothing wrong with him not wearing clothes. But not in public. Not only because it is just not right, but because there ARE perverts out there. No random strangers should be noticing the size of his penis. He needs clothes. Children should be clothed in public, especially at his age.

nicely, i'm multiracial myself, so each and every relationship i'm in is going to be interracial! yet i comprehend what you mean. the only time I have been given unusual seems became while i became relationship a Black guy. It wasn't extremely seems of malice, it became extra bitterness as a results of fact lots of Black women folk experience that girls folk of different races are "stealing" their adult men. yet different than that, i've got never had an argument, yet nonetheless, i'm from NYC, so perhaps it somewhat is why. There are too many different issues to stare at, like an excellent Black guy dressed like ask your self lady(I swear, I observed this in cases sq.).
