no. it won't. washing it won't get rid of it. get a rinse treatment at a salon. that will get the dye out and make your natural color come back.

Probably 28 washes. If you use Dawn detergent or Prell it will make it fade even faster. I hope I'm wrong, but it may not fade all the way out because some times when you put a darker color over lighter hair it acts as more of a permanent color. It will fade though. Good luck. PS.do not put a blonde color on top of it,I can't believe the hair dresser above me is telling you to do that.

All depending on the dye you used most that say semi permant take 3-4 weeks to come out or 14-16 washes even some brands are less

Repeated washings can help remove some of the excess dyes from semi permanent color but most likely it will not remove all of it. The amount of dye your hair absorbed depended on the porosity of your hair. The more porous your hair, the more it will absorb....but the good news is, if it was indeed porous and absorbed alot,...it will bleed out more quickly with each washing. DO NOT think that putting more color onto your hair will help...it will not....color does not lift color. My suggestion to you would be to get it gently lifted by a professional who knows his/her business.

Try a few washes with fairy liquid and put a handful of bread soda in the rinsing water. You're going to need plenty of conditioner, as the frequent washing will dry out your hair. This happened me last year on holidays and I had to wash my hair twice a day for five days with washing up liquid, but it did fade to an acceptable shade!

If you use an anti dandruff shampoo it will wash out a lot quicker especially as it has red shades in. The chemicals and stuff used to treat dandruff strip the dye out of the hair.

The use of anti dandruff shampoo was recommended to me by the helpline at L'Oreal when I had a similar problem and thankfully it worked. Remember to use a good conditioner as all the washing you will be doing strips your hair of natural oils.

you can get a color remover from any beauty supply stores but i don't recommend it b/c its not good for the hair ...What you can do is wash your hair with Tide its pretty strong it will take out the color but generally semi-prem colors stay in 10 washes all depends on your hair type...Any other question I'M me if you like i try to answer any other questions....Just next time do a patch test
