why go to such lengths to destroy it? America is one of the few countries in the world that actually allows Christians to live. Other countries have beaten, stoned, and imprisoned people for being Christian. After Jesus' death, the roman empire would kill anyone for being Christian, and this went on for about 300 years. It seems to me like the world is afraid of Christians. But why? I mean, it's just another silly religion with empty beliefs and false hope, right? And if the Bible is false, why validate it by persecuting Christians?

I wasn't aware that all the countries in Europe, along with Australia, New Zealand, South America, etc. did not allow Christians to live.
And I didn't know Christians were being persecuted in the US? Oh, wait, I guess because our Constitution has yet to be rewritten to establish a Christian theocracy in this country, because Christians don't have the Bible in the schoolrooms to indoctrinate our children with their beliefs, and because homosexuals still have some rights in this country, I guess you are right...they are being persecuted.

Um, don't you mean why if all our other religions are false, are you christians going out of your way to destroy the rest of us?
You revise the history of the U.S. to claim it is a Christian Nation, when it never was.
You try to deny minority populations such as homosexuals their right to pursue happiness through marriage by using your right wing muscle to put it on political agendas
Your people harass those of us who do not share your beliefs on so many levels there just isn't room in a posting to list them.
If all our beliefs (or non-beliefs for atheists) are false, then why do you try so hard to destroy us? I mean, honestly.. if we're all going to die, go to hell and suffer horrible torment.. shouldn't we be allowed to live in peace here, if this is (and I've heard this from the pulpit on so many occasions its not funny) the only "heaven" we're ever going to see?

That's dumb.
You think countries in the middle east hate america because of christianity and that that somehow validates your religion? maybe they want to destroy it because its false and blasphemous? Thats just as likely - but equally stupid.
Americans are led to believe this because if they knew how much US foreign policy was to blame for all this they'd be a revolution. I expect it would sound like a conspiracy theory to point out that Saddam was put in power by the US - well that doesnt stop it being true. He committed his atrocities against his own people and nobody cared as long as the oil flowed but as soon as the country was destabilising america feels a need to wade in with nonsense about unseating the powerbase of a monster and getting the weapons of mass destruction.

people are especially against chrstianity becasue christians go around saying how accepting and loving they try to be, and yet if people follow their own hearts and beliefs, these same people 'hurt for you' because you are going to hell. But of course they are not judging... they are relying God's message. See, it gets a little personal... so yes, people are very happy to see chrsitians go down. As for history, I believe they were killed from dictarship, the government only had one accepted religion per terriotory

Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? Christian fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.
