I've met some girls that clearly expressed interest in me, and would be the first to call after we exchanged numbers. However, beyond the initial conversations, I think I was expected to make all of the calls to these girlfriend-prospects. We would go without talking for weeks, and then I'd call and they'd sound happy to hear from me.
Recently, I called up a sophomore girl to go out to lunch, but she was working. We flirt all the time but she's a little intimidated by me because I'm a good-looking (Not to inflate my own balloon or anything...) senior. It's been a week and it would have been reassuring if she'd called me back. Is she waiting for my call, or is she hoping I won't call?

shes probably taking into account the fact that you are a senior and that youve probably had experience w/ lots of other girls. shes probably not calling you because she doesnt want to end up like "that girl who was too clingy" or "that girl who basically stalked me" like that. she might also be hoping that youll call, if you do, itll be like a green traffic light for her telling her she has the Ok to pursue you!
either that, or she thinks shes being vague and mysterious.

She's probably waiting for you to call her first. I guess you will never know unless you try it. If you just wait for her to call you, you might wait for a long time and here nothing. Call her, and see what is up, and if she is still interested in you.

Dude, kudos for not being a moron to call girls each week or day. By giving them a week or two off, you are anticipating more from you which will get them excited just to hear your voice again. Call them one or twice a week but give a week or two off. Tell them you were "busy" and do not return their voice mails. You have to play mind games with this bitchese, you never know if they are doing it to someone else!!!

Fickle animals.... I say yes.... it is like they have a phone the they pay only for out going calls but unlimited incoming.
We guys normally pay for everything. Why should they put an effort out. Try to keep your dates to free events and meet them there. Friendship is a two way happening.

If she is doing nothing but waiting, she is controlling you... Avoid her...
