Why GHD not another brand?

Defo worth the money. I've tried others and GHD are the only ones to really straighten my hair brilliantly. You only need to pull through the hair once, where as others I had to go over the same section a few times to get a good result. So GHD are better for your hair than most other straighteners.

Yes they are definately worth the money... A good website is:
www.exclusivebrands.co.uk.. The products on there are cheaper and you get a free heat-proof mat (which you need to stop your GHDs scorching the surface) and free heat protection spray (VITAL - otherwise your GHDs will completely RUIN your hair).
There are 3 types of GHD depending on the length and thickness of your hair. They all do an outstanding job and you can do other stuff with them except from straightening which are all listed on the ghd website: www.ghdhair.com. These include GHD curls, waves, flicks, flips.. And loads more!!

Good luck - GHDs are the new religion for hair!

I've had GHD's in the past, and personally I think that you can buy better ones for the same amount of money. My current ones are Babyliss PRO straightners (recommended by a hairdresser friend of mine) which were the same price as GHDs and I think they give better results in my hair because of the temperature control. Also, I had a fairly cheap (about £30) pair of remmington straightners which worked really well on my hair (and my brother's, now he's stolen them!)
I guess it's personal preference - I'd say borrow a few sets from friends and work out which one is best for your hair, or ask a hairdresser for advice!

I use the salon style one for longer hair it is fantastic i would recommend it to anyone. Your hair will stay perfect even in a humid atmosphere. GHD are also fabulous for curling hair etc. God luck!!

Yes, I brought my straightener over 3 years ago and it is still working great, would not be without it.

really depends on how easy it is to straighten ur hair. I have remington and they are pretty good but my hair is very fine and easy to straighten.

ghd's get poker straight hair but they have higher temp and prob do bad stuff to hair

I was going to get one.But then I thought it will ruin my hair. My uncle is a top hair stylist and he told me not to buy one.
