This problem is driving me crazy. The lettuce keeps freezing ... I want it cold, but not frozen. I'm not sure that adjusting the temperature of the fridge to be warmer is sufficient to solve the problem ... is there some other way to monitor the humidity in the fridge?

Lower the temperature of your refrigerator

Does your food crisper have a temperature gage - if so perhaps you just need to adjust that drawer.

If not, perhaps you should try storing your lettuce and celery in the center of the refrigerator away from the back of the frig - so it is not too close to where the cooling element or air is. I have noticed that if it against the back wall of the frig, it will some times freeze

Check to ensure that your food is well drained and not holding excess water when you are storing it

I would suggest turning it down as a last alternative - just to be on the safe side - keeping things as cold as possible is better

I had this problem once and the manager of the apartments I lived in at the time cleaned out underneath and behind the refrigerator and turned down the thermostat a little and it helped a lot. He said it was from the dust that accumulates throughout the year. I hope that I have been some help to you on this matter.

I have the same problem. I finally kept moving my lettuce to different parts of the refrigerator until I found a spot where it didn't freeze. I also tried lowering the temp., which worked a little.

Adjust the temp for the fridge to a warmer temp. It will help keep the lettuce and celery from icing up.
