Alot of rumors have been going around that he likes me and he asked me online who i liked. i told him i didnt know and he said he wasnt gonna say anything more right then. i really like my friend but i dont know wat to say to him to maintain our friendship if he asks me out....

You need to tell him how you feel. If he is a true friend he will understand and you can remain friends. I was just in a similar situation and I messed up and let it get out of hand. Now our friendship is awkward and I am mourning the loss of a good friend.

I think you should tell him the truth. Yes, the truth hurts, but it's better than lying to him. He'll like you even more for the honesty. If you're not ready -- tell him you're not ready for a relationship. But if he's just a friend -- tell him why how he's such a wonderful friend. This may sound cheesy, but you should make a promise with him. Promising that, "No matter what, we will always stay friends forever." If he really is as great a friend as you describe him, he will keep his promise. Good luck!

try to avoid situations that could be possible segways to romance or w/e. dont ever act flirty or do anything of flirtatious nature with him. hang out with him in groups. if the situation ever arises where he does ask you out, dont just say yes to spare his feelings, it wont be fair to him. just tell him that you think hes a great friend but you dont think of him that way and you dont think its the best thing for you two be together like that

Well beat him to the punch, you go and ask him out for a soda or coffee. and whenyour there explain to him how you feel about him and let him knw you just want to be friends with him. ANd if he doesn't understand oh well you can make more friends.

Tell you like him, just not the way he likes you. Yes, he's going to get hurt but there's nothing you can really do to help it.
