Looking to get hardwood flooring put in this area, tried to measure as much as I could, the sections that are blacked out are areas that do not need the hardwood, so that is why they are blacked out. Can't figure it out.

You have 576 square feet to be covered. For safety I would get 585 square feet of flooring. But I do this for a living. I guess the fellows that said 600 square feet would be right for someone that does not do this for a living. I would not buy more than 577 square feet.

Hi, All I can tell you is what I would do. The total approximate square footage (23 X 28 = 644) Then subtract approximate areas that are shaded, (644-28=616, 616-30= 586, 586-20=566) Now when you buy your flooring make sure that you buy more than 566 square feet, Maybe 600? Depending how confident you are that you won't goof. That's why they call it estimating. Hope this helps.

You are missing a little data, but the overall area is 672.75. Subtracting the black area (I had to estimate the missing data) which sums up to 99.175 yields an answer of 573.575. You will have to order a little extra for cutting to fit etc. so if you tell the salesman that you are looking at a floor space of 575 sq. feet, he should be able to estimate the amount of extra flooring needed. I hope this helps.

okay the right half of the room is 233.6 sq feet. The left side is 311.22. minus the blacked out areas it is 471.79 sq feet although I do not know about that tiny space near the lower right That should be accurate enough to purchase flooring though!

I can tell you it is less than 650sq-ft, but you are missing a few measurements. I need a breakdown of the "7.75" measurement just measure where the black stops

multiply length x width of the overall area, then l x w each area not to used. Subtract these individually from the overall area.

You are sooo lazy. Break up surfaces into rectangles...then length times width. Triangular section again length times width divided by two....YOU DO THE MATH !
