♥ ♥ just call them again, have them check, ask for that persons name and don't worry I think the most that would happen is that they will want their money, send you a bill and they won't let you check out a book again until the fine is paid... there are much bigger things to stress over....♥ ♥

Wow, I'd be really stressed too if I was in your shoes. I hope everything works out for you. I'm not too stressed at the moment. I'm leaving for Melbourne tomorrow morning and I guess I'm feeling a mixture of stress and excitement. I'm a little scared of plane flights, even though I've been on planes many times before. I also haven't even packed or anything, I'm so unorganized. I'm a tad stressed about overdue homework too, I only do 3 subjects at the moment but I'm pretty behind on all of them.

Dude.

The worst-case scenario of an overdue library book is a fine. Usually ten bucks or less. I think you might have some kind of guilt issues, or something.

But since you're so good at worrying, why not worry in a positive way? You like to read, you might be the scholarly sort, why not find a goal, say curing brain tumors or starting a successful business, and obsess over that. Worst-case scenario, you'll be driven to a difficult but meaningful goal. Best-case, hey, cure for cancer, retiring young, having enough cash to BUY your books.

Oh My God! Honey you will definitely not go to jail over a library book. I mean come on with all the things going on in the world! You just need to lighten up a little. If you must call call! Then listen to them when they say their all in those old people at the library will defiantly let you know if you have an overdue library book!

Okay, these are just my thoughts, but you asked for them.

Answer these questions for yourself:
Why would they lie to you?
Do you have an extra library book laying around?
Have you checked online to see if you have anything overdue?
Why wouldn't they tell you if you did have a book overdue?

BTW, even if you do have an overdue book, you wouldn't go to jail for it. Seriously...I've been late on returning a book and it only cost me 10 cents.

So what's really going on in your life? Do you overthink everything or just this? Are you going through anything else major right now? I think this is just a symptom of something else.

Well, since you can't believe your own ears...maybe you should go to the library on Tuesday morning and have the librarian show you your record. They cannot send you to jail or Juvenal hall for an overdue library book. If that were the the case our jails would be filled with tons of people reading books! Please stop worrying..you're okay! Trust me!

try to forget about it and go out with friends and do something fun. Stress is caused by being home everytime so the best way to get over it is to get out and enjoy life.

If you are this stressed over such a minor thing, then you need medical help. This is not a natural reaction and you may need medication and to learn some coping skills. Life does not need to be this hard.
