Can you explain what Santa has to do with religion? I am Christian and I do not tell my kids that Santa exist!

Not every religion lies to their children about Santa..... so I guess what ur question should have been is 'isn`t the religion that lies to kids about santa silly , i mean i tell my kids santa exist,but as an adult i know the truth? '

Good point. Nobody ever tried telling the little children that religion was to make sure they got their morals straight and to keep the priest in power. It's nothing more than a glorified comic book. The experiment is over people. We have grown-up laws and science now. The days of the caveman are over.

Well.. why are you growing up your Children on the basis of false fundamentals of Chrisitianity ? Why dont you tell your kids the truth whether the Santa exists or not ? whats wrong in it ? when your kid will grow up and learn about these things he will say that 'my father was a liar! '. I'ma Muslim by faith and i don't believe that if you should lie. Even the white lie is Prohibitted.

It sure is. Fundies make a big deal about telling the truth, and how it says in the bible that liars will not get into heaven. Yet, everybody tells their kids that Santa will travel around the world and come down thru the chimney when he leaves gifts. I know it's all done in innocence, but isn't a lie a lie?

No religion is not silly. If you thought is was so silly you would stop telling your kids there is a Santa.

Santa has nothing to do with religion.
Are you questioning whether God exists and how to explain that to your children?
As parents we teach our children our beliefs and the difference between right and wrong.

I agree with you about religion.
Still, What we think we know is a form of self limitation that often blinds us to the truth.
