your going to have to do it all from scratch. its ok, it'll take time, but its worth it. its a common story, sad but true. many of our elders are not able to tell us what, who and where, so dont get discouraged.

here are some links that helped me with indian sites (as well as any other).

cindi's list is awesome; packed with thousands of sites to search databases. i just found Teds, and think it'll help you also. it explains a great deal of info, step by step, and tips.

most of these sites are free to search, but when you need copies of a document, most places charge for it.

Very tough, the BIA has limited information, that is someone would have had to register to establish lineage. If you've got the names you could start there.
Where is your husbands mother?...
If you have maiden names that can help a lot
also know this that in 1936 when many Natives became citizens there were a lot of name changes to more "caucasian" sounding names.
When dealing with the BIA be Patient as they are slow, very slow in responding.

Native American.

Geographic Overview

When complete these Histories will encompass approximately 240 tribal histories (contact to 1900). They will be limited to the lower 48 states of the U.S. but also include those First Nations from Canada and Mexico that had important roles (Huron, Micmac, Assiniboine, etc.).
