you can either sift the powered sugar over the top or if you have chocolate and cream make a chocolate ganache. 1 bag chocolate chips, 3/4 c cream (any kind) 1 tsp vanilla... put the cream in a pot and warm not quite till boiling. Pour over the chocolate and let set for a couple minutes. Add vanilla and whisk until incorporated. let set about 30 minutes and pour over the top. Garnish with shredded chocolate, or chocolate curls.

Canned pie filling, pudding, cool whip or whipped cream. I have used a combination of 3 of these for a black forrest cake and it was great !! First put the pie filling (cherry) on the cake and then mix the pudding (vanilla - 1 sm. box) with 1/2 cup milk and then add that to the cool whip...then frost the cake with that and refridgerate. This "frosting" thickens up after it's been in the refridgerator. At the very least you can make a glaze with the cup of powdered sugar you have.

take 1 cup powdered sugar mix with 1 8 oz cream cheese add about 2 table spoons milk more or less blend with mixer ****now if you have no cream cheese put powered sugar in bowl add 2 or 3 tablespoons milk and drizzle it on with a spoon!! you can also take a half a spoon of cocoa and flavor (potluck!)

Just sprinkle the powdered sugar over the cooled cake. It's great and not too sweet!
