You might have a hip out of alignment, or a problem with your back: My mother used to have trouble with a sciatic nerve, and would experience similar pain all the way down to her toes.
Try taking Tylenol or a similar painkiller, and making an appointment with a doctor or chiropractor.
Good luck!

Sounds like sciatica, which is inflammation of the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve runs thru the leg, and can become inflamed by the tightening of muscles or the shifting of the pelvis, as with pregnancy or weight loss/ gain. Try this stretch- lay on your back with feet flat and knees bent. Bend right leg and cross it so that your ankle rests directly below your knee on the front of your thigh. Wrap your hands around your left thigh. Pull left leg torwards your chest. Hold for 60 seconds, then repeat on other side.
Also, stretch your hamstrings. If you don't get some relief from this, talk to a chiropractor.

I have pain and now have trouble walking as I did not seek medical advice. I take pain meds for other medical problems and just thought it would go away now I have a leg brace and a walking stick to get around. I say for the week end use hot and cold packs and call your doctor first thing on Tuesday and take it easy. No wild dancing tonight. Sorry

You probably have a damaged disc in your low back (disc protrusion or extrusion) with the disc pushing on the nerve going down your leg (likely L4/5 or L5/S1 disc).
Recommendations: If you are unable to walk or have problems with incontinence (inability to control bowel or bladder) go to the nearest emergency room. If you don't have those dangerous symptoms:
1. bed rest (for up to three days)
2. anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen , naprosyn)
3. try heat-packs
90% of these episodes will get better within a couple of days to weeks.

Sounds like a pinched nerve, caused by your back being out of alignment.
I had that a year ago. It started with my upper back and worked its way down into my lower back and down my right leg. A chiropractor helped move things back into place and I felt a world better.

You likely have a herniated disk. It's also known as a slipped disk.
You should seek good medical advice, as well as diagnostic measures. I have the same problem. If you don't have this addressed, there can be bad complications. Please take care!
