Hey listen as for feeding your dog people food. Use common sence. If it is bad for you. Then it will be bad for your dog. I peronally give my dog left over meat, and he loves carrots. But no sweets please.

Of course they can. I don't know why people think that something is fit for dogs to eat only once you process the daylights out of it and extrude it into dried out chunks of yuck.
There are a few things that dogs should never eat including chocolate, cooked bones of fish or chicken (*raw* bones are perfectly digestible when the dog is used to them), raisins and grapes. Onions should be avoided, as should foods that are particularly sugary, greasy, fatty, or spicy. Watch the dogs weight and cut back if there is much padding on the ribs. Other than that, go for it.
To avoid begging, don't ever feed the dog from the table or when the humans are eating, and don't ever, ever feed the dog when he's begging, staring, or being rude. Only feed in "approved" spots like from the dog's dish in the kitchen or somewhere else away from where the humans eat. Dogs only beg if they think (or know) it might work.

Do you want your dog begging for food from you and your house guests? If you want to feed people food, make sure you do it after you are finished eating so your dog understands that this is YOUR food and as Alpha you may share your scraps if you so choose. My dog loves apples, peanut butter and hard boiled eggs.

Are you asking if it's okay to give dogs people food? The answer is no. A little snack once in awhile I'm sure wouldn't hurt, but they really need to stick with dog food.

A little snack is OK every once in a while, but absolutely NO CHOCOLATE or CHICKEN BONES. A dog's system cannot digest chocolate and chicken bones splinter in their stomach and have to be surgically removed if caught in time.

Yes, it is fine to give them some kinds of "people food" from time to time. But, I promise you, once you do, they will beg for it every time. So, most people just stick to doggie treats.
