Having a nightmare giving my 3 year old Eye Drops.

She needs them for a Eye Infection.

Squirms loads, and i struggle to keep her still. Last time she moved to much - i poked her in the eye, by mistake.

When i get someone to help me - how can we restrain her ?

Please help me. Struggling

If you could get some one to help you it would be easier, when this happened with my son I used to sit him on my lap, use my legs to wrap around his, then i would take his arms and wrap them around his body, holding them with my own, then my partner would put the drops in, sounds cruel i know, but it has to be done. I wish you the best of luck.

My 4 yr old daughter had corrective eye surgery and I know exactly what your dealing with. You can try someone sitting at your childs feet holding their arms and legs down. Try to get the childs eye open just a little and drop it in there. OR, like our eye surgeon told us... If you can get it in the inside corner of the eye, the drop will work its way in there. We tried waiting till our daughter went to sleep and it didnt help. She just rolled over and buried her face. I wish you the best of luck.

I do not envy your quest to admimister eyedrops but it's all a matter of trust and YOU cannot be nervous about it darlin.Just talk softly and look up to the stars ond feel a drop of rain.......sing a song if necessary..............You have to be the clam one as they feel your anxiety so make it a game.Pour water into your eye if needed to show it doesn't hurt ok?...good luck sweety
