I stay away from all sugars and that gets rid of the fat tummy. Sugars I cut out are: breads, rice, potatoes, flour, fruits, starchy vegetables like corn, candy/sweets, juice, and milk/yogurt.

Fast digest foods such as breads, anything from a cow, processed foods, processed meats. All digest in less than an hour, so you are hungry again, eat again.
Tummy exercise. Lie on your kitchen floor, knees up, feet up under the bottom of the kitchen cabinet. Hands across your upper chest.
Raise your upper back 1/4 up off the floor and HOLD it in the air for 20 seconds. Your stomach should start to shake!
Then lower yourself back down, do this exercise Mon-Wed-Fri.
Do not go higher than 1/4 up. If you do, your sides and back muscles are holding you up, not your stomach. Test; go higher up, your stomach stops shaking!
Do not put your hands behind your head. If you do, you are pulling yourself up.
I guess I know what I am talking about. Lifting for 20 years. 6'2", 284 pounds. XXL shirt. 14% bodyfat. And I am 54 years old.
Big, and getting bigger...

Suga,
What you need is a professional to answer your questions. I am not a professional in the area of weight loss, but I do know of a website that belongs to a professional body builder that has the info you seek.
Tom Venuto has a plan that is tried and tested and developed over 17 yrs of research. He can teach you how to burn the fat and keep it off.
I wish you luck in your quest.

you should not stay away from any food when you are dieting, you should just limit your intake of ALL foods. If you make any foods taboo, you will just start craving that item, and break your diet.
