I'm not smarter than a Vet, so I don't know what it is.
If it were my dog, however, I would lay a cool damp towel on it to help reduce the pain.

like the others reported, it ought to be fleas or an inflammation. additionally, whilst a prior canines of mine have been given extraordinarily ill she had pink blotches to boot. I nonetheless it replaced into an inflammation yet then they began to bleed and open. as quickly as I took her to the vet they reported she had something incorrect together with her coronary heart that replaced into inflicting the themes and replaced into inflating her abdomen. We had to place her down so even regardless of if this is something minor, get it checked. The vet ought to grant you something for it the two way.

This almost sounds like a type of rug burn or a very severe food allergy. Could she have scraped herself on anything?

I'd suggest a second opinion. See if you can find yourself a secondary vet.

My dog had a red blotchy stomach too. The vet told me she was allergic to grass. I guess she got it from running around outside and grass rubbing on her tummy.

it could be as mild as a grass allergy in which you would rub cortisone on it to... a VERY SERIOUS medical condition. i would take your dog to a vet ASAP!!

I would take her to another vet and get a second opinion! I'd be very wary of a vet that just says "I dunno" and then charges you for an office visit!!
