in John 1...stated I n the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning. There is only one God but in 3 persons.God the Father (who spoke in the old testament and was the one who gave the 10 commandments to Moses),God the Son(Jesus Christ,He was the coming Messiah that was prophecied in the O.T.,he became human, was crucified and died on the cross as a living sacrificed to redeemed us from sins.God the Holy Spirit (Comforter) guide us to righteous living. They have their own designated time.example is the egg.there is shell, eggwhite and egg yolk.
in john 10:30 ...I and the Father is one
Hebrews 1:3 stated that the Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word

Jesus is the "Son of God". There is the Father (God in heaven) the Son, Jesus, who came to earth, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not the Father, though he is a higher than any angel or any other person. From God (who is "the Father") we get Grace, from Christ we get atonement, and from the Holy Spirit we get righteousness.

I'm not Christian, but i could explain.
Christians believe that God (the father), son (Jesus) and the holy spirit are all one thing, but one thing which is divided into three separate forms.
True, trying to understand it is confusing, even Christians themselves can't really grasp it, but they tend to follow what has been told to them out of respect and faith to their Bible and religion.

This conversation between Jesus and his disciples might clarify this question.
Matt. 16:13-17.
13 Now when he had come into the parts of Caes·a·re´a Phi·lip´pi, Jesus went asking his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?” 14 They said: “Some say John the Baptist, others E·li´jah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them: “You, though, who do you say I am?” 16 In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo´nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did.

The father son and holy ghost is one. It is like water... water can be liquid, solid, or gas but it is still water either way. I hope that cleared things up. I used to not understand it too until someone told me this.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
Who God is is beyond the possiblity of the thought of man discovering him; The Bible is God's revelation to man of who he is. To understand you must read the Bible with the heart of a child and trust his word. Confusion results because, "...the natural man receiveth not the things of God neither can he know them for they are spiritually discerned."
God bless you.

Jesus is not G-d, nor the son of G-d. He was a man, a teacher, and possibly a prophet. There is no G-d but G-d. Jesus was not Him.
