Perhaps this is a classic old wive's tale...but I've had a number of people say for the best tasting recipes (i.e. baked goods and sauces) use a wooden spoon above all others. Any truth to this?

It depends on what you are using them for, I use plastic spoons when I'm making something out of a box or something frozen, such as mac and cheese or frozen broccoli. Except for a cake mix, I use a wooden spoon for that. I will only use a wooden spoon for things such as sauces and true home made things like you said. I don't know if it makes them taste better or not, but that is what I've heard and how I was taught!!

Oh and I use a wooden spoon if I'm making kool-aid too!
