It's a consequence of man's sin. Ever since Adam ate the "apple", man has had to deal with a whole bunch of junk, including sickness. I know you think death and sickness is totally unfair, but when you think about it,we don't even deserve to be alive in the first place. God didn't even have to create us, he could have done His own thing and never created a earth at all. Life, even if it is not perfect, is still a gift. Also, there is such thing as an " age of accountability." Very young children and miscarried babies are innocent. They go straight to heaven, when they die because they are too young to know right from wrong. (And miscarried babies haven't lived long enough to commit any sins!)

God is not about getting people sick. All things are here for a reason. Children get sick and it's sad. But God has nothing to do with it.

As sad as it is, all living things by their very nature have to die. Some people are just meant to live longer lives than others. When a child dies, it's always much sadder than when an adult dies because a child's time on earth seems so short. I think we should focus on the quality of life, not the length. It's not a matter of God "letting" it happen.

Because God gets a kick out of children sick and dying.
You're premise is false - you're assuming that God is nice, that he cares about us at all and lastly that he exists.

This really is not one of those if there is a God question when you come to think about it intellectually. One should never despair when a child dies, because there's always a part of them that carries on, a part of them that we will always cherish in our hearts and minds and no one or nothing can take that away. Another answer to your question is to keep the balance and also to strengthen ourselves.

God does not....it's the people connected with the children who are allowing that...
We are all given choices in our lives. Most parents care for their young, some even dump their babies like trash - sad but it happens....
And death is inevitable for all living things. No life lives forever....

The problem is that God is not as commonly believed to be or described. You are relying on what people assert God is. He is not necessarily what people tell you He is. What we are is nothing more than lab rats, stepping stones in a plan to develop perfect life forms.

To the best of my knowledge nobody nowhere nohow has been able to give a good answer to that question. And, that question, is a big reason why a lot of people have given up on religion.
