That depends on whether you aska Muslim or a Christian. Allah is the Arabic equivlent for the English word "God".
Muslims and Jews would say that there is one God and there cannot be three of God. They do not believe that Jesus is God or that there is a person called Holy Spirit who is also God but seperate from the Father. To them God is just one person.
Trinitarian Christians say that there is one God but he is sort of like a family of three people. The Bible says a man and his wife become one flesh, and yet they are still two people. In the same way, God is one God, and yet God is three people.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.... The Holy Bible Describes God as having a Son whose name is Jesus and that he came to save the world from their sins.... The Q'uran states that allah had no son, and that jesus was no more than a prophet..therefore Christians and Muslims do not... nor will they ever serve the same God, if allah doesn't recognize Jesus as his Son then allah couldnt possibly be part of the christian trinity, seeing as the trinity consist of Father, Son, And Holy Spirit....2ndly How could allah be called God the Father when the Q'uran says that allah had no son? think about it..... in fact both Christianity and Judaism recognize the islamic faith as a separate and distinct religion in itself....

In no way shape or form is allah the same God that the Christian's believe in. We believe allah is a false god, and muhammad a false prophet. We believe that by God's only begotten Son Jesus Christ can you come to God the Father of all
John 14:6 Jesus Christ said this," I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me".

I know that Allah is the same God b/c Christians and Muslims have the God of Abraham in common. As for it being a trinity, I'm not sure, a Muslim could probably answer that for you. I wouldn't think so b/c they do not believe Jesus is God (Jesus being part of the trinity). I'm curious to know as well though.

NO! No no no. Look, I love and respect all my fellow human beings, and their rights to their own beliefs, but at the same time do not confuse my God with other gods or try to make a comparison. The God of Christianity and the god of Islam are not one in the same, and if you want to know why, just pick up a Bible and a copy of the Quran and you will see the difference no matter what you believe.

I consider you. in truth, i might want to bypass extra: why do diverse Christians insist that our faiths are similar even as ideologically, they're poles aside? Christianity began as a dissident Jewish sect. yet as this faith spread by the Roman empire, and fairly once Jesus change into deified, then at that element, the religions chop up aside always. For us as Jews, G-d is G-d and guy is guy - they in no way 'merge'. The mere idea that G-d might want to take human form is BLASPHEMY. Jews have self assurance that one and all people are the little ones of G-d. Christianity has developed a very diverse idea device. It has taken the Jewish scriptures, MIStranslated them, REinterpreted them and also the concept of messiah, and now insists that we as Jews 'missed' or were too 'obdurate' to attain our own messiah! communicate about vanity! Why do not extra Christians settle for that the very idea of 'messiah' is a JEWISH one. The JEWISH messianic prophecies were written by JEWS, for JEWS. We as Jews use appropriately translated Hebrew. in short, we comprehend OUR scriptures. yet no. Many Christians take care of that Judaism is 'irrelevant'. desirable. The Jewish and Christian G-d isn't a similar G-d. How can or not this is, even as Christians have self assurance contained in the trinity? even as they have self assurance that G-d change into made flesh in Jesus? And to those those who keep cheerfully declaring that Jews regard Jesus as a prophet - no, we do not. We in no way did. We in no way will. CATALIZ - yet you've merely lengthy previous and missed the needed element! In Judaism there is no such idea because the 'suffering' messiah! it truly is a CHRISTIAN idea. CATALIZ lower back***********************************... You completely skipped over what I suggested. The Jewish idea of messiah does not include ANY 'suffering' messiah. you're utilizing a MIStranslation of the Torah. Kindly do not tell ME as a Jew what my faith would not 'comprehend' about OUR own SCRIPTURES.

Allah is not the God of the Bible. He cannot be since the Qu'ran says Allah has no son.
The Bible states many times that God has a son.

He is God the Father. Muslims don't believe in the Trinity.
As a Christian, as far as I'm concerned, all gods are the one God.

Allah is not the God of the Bible any more than Krishna is. The Bible says that God has a Son and his name is Jesus.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
One of the fundamental principals of Islam is:
"God is not begotten, neither does he beget."
The difference is very obvious. Allah is not the God of the Bible. I love Jesus and to call Allah god is slander and a lie.
