Hair cutting?
I know this dont fit the catagory but maybe you can help
Okay I am gonna cut my own hair and my friend says that if you put your hair in a ponytail then cut the end of the ponytail straight it will layer it, will that work and do u know any other ways to cut your own hair easily

it wold be a really high ponytail so it wouldnt be longer in the front than the back

yes it works, but what you do is pull the hair all the way up to the front of your head( by your forehead) put it all in a pony tail and cut, cut about 1/2 an inch above the band. another way is to measure each length of hair(say the length of your finger) start at the back of your hair underneath. you will need several pins to hold each layer of hair up until you cut it. after each section, leave it down. wash,rinse,condition, blow dry. It looks pretty good.

In my opinon u should go to a professional because i do and im not boasting but my hair looks cute
However you could get someone to hold a mirror up behind and in front of you so you can see your hair clearly and aslo the ponytail trick doesn't sound too good.

Don't do it. It will look really bad and won't layer it at all. Go to supercuts. I could tell you if I saw you because I'm a hair stylist... so just take it from me. the ponytail idea won't work!

It's not going to cut your hair like you want it to.

I suggest just going to a regular haircut place like Supercuts or something and getting it cut for like $10. Don't cut it yourself. Better safe than sorry. This is your HAIR your talking about. It doesn't grow back just like that.

It won't layer it, but it will be a straight hair cut, that's the easiest way. or you can go to the salon and spend $80

I would not try cutting your own hair. You can go to famous hair and get a cheap $12.00 cut. I have tried cutting my own and have never had any luck.

Hello
You can also use a comb with a razor installed.
As you comb your hair you can cut it.
One side of the comb cuts it medium the other side cuts it sort.
You can buy them from most hairdresser suppliers.

that will work if you stand on your head or just make sure that the ponytail is at the very top of your head

it will make the hair in the back shorter and the hair in the front longer

that idea might work. try it on a barbie first, really. and if you don't like the shape it makes, theres your answer.
