Of course silly, that's where the war is!

Yes, and if you like me, asked the majority of servicemen coming back, they all will say " Yes"!
What we don't hear about is all the good that is being done. I had several from the 2nd ACR tell me that the surest way to tell when there is going to be a terror bombing, is watch for the TB trucks to roll in. In many of the towns where the media isn't, the 2nd ACR rebuilt schools, hospitals, got the infra structure back up and running with water, sewer and electricity.
Many of the Medics and Doctors worked the local clinics, without carrying side arms. Lots of their family's raised money and bought and shipped school supplies in so the kids, boys and GIRLS, could have stuff in school and could begin their education.
But the liberal media doesn't print or report the good stuff. Only how many were killed, what was blown up today. Good don't sell the news, only blood, guts and death do.
Look at Viet Nam!!! When the media began showing all the flag draped caskets, reporting only the bad stuff, America lost. If they keep it up with Iraq, we will loose again, but this time, they will have media coverage right here in the USA with our own terrorist attacks. They can have a field day then, wouldn't have to send people around the world to report the violence, cause it will be daily right here in the good old United States of America.

If U think the world is a lovely place where pple would just get along if it wasn't for George Bush then we don't even need an army.
We are there for a number of reasons.
Do you want the region possessing nuclear weapons.
If you want to influence that decision then Iraq was a good place to start and to stay in.
Do you want to fight them here or over there.
Terrorism seems to be an unbeatable phenomenon but that is completely wrong. Through bombing disco's trains, markets, job lines, and slitting peoples throats they want to persuade us not "necessary" to stand in their way.
They can watch CNN and get the daily rushes on how they are doing. It seems they are right.
You're not clear on the issues.
They wouldn't have the same resolve if we were united.
The countries that neighbor Israel have blocked all progress towards to peace by bombing discos buses and restaurants whenever an agreement was close, Iraq funded and fomented those activities.
If we leave we will send the same message as Beirut and,Somalia,

It is not necessary nor was it from the beginning, we went into Iraq on some bullshit excuse by bush just so he can make himself look like a hero when he is spending trillions of dollars there about a million a month and getting thousands of Americans killed for some lost cause, there is no legitimate reason why he went into Iraq he just figured if he caught both osama and Saddam he would be like a g-d, well we still haven't even caught the main guy that we were looking for in the first place, bush is a total schmuck

If the US Army leaves Iraq to many negative things could happen.
We created the Iraq that exists today. We should make sure it at least has a fighting chance to become a free Democracy like Turkey. It would be bad for the US if we pulled out and agents of Iran took control of Iraq.

It was never necessary, Bush broke the 2nd Constitution that, "We take arms against another country only if they strike us first". That is a war that should never have been 3,000 of our troops have lost their lives and thousands maimed for life, look at the thousands of innocent Iraq people that have died over this Constitution being broken . Children walk down the street in Iraq
they see dead people with flies swarming them and they have gotten to the point that they have seen so many it is just a every day occurrence. It makes you hang your head in shame poor babies.

NO. Not at all.
Let's open the city gates and ,et the insurgents come in and slaughter families in their homes, destroy businesses and jobs, and re-establish the homicidal ways of the previous administration. Let the Bathists kill non-party members until the bullets run out. Yeah... let's just leave now and let the country just go back to its genocidal ways. Give them time to rebuild their armies, recall their special weapons from Syria, fire up the torture rooms, and start a nuke-fest against Iran.
Let the women be raped and kidnapped by 'thug-police' whenever they feel the urge. Sure that's the way to go.
And while we're at it, let's give Germany back to the Nazi's.

well, if we pull out, "redeploy", "wave the white flag", or whatever your party calls it, right now, terrorists will consider it a victory. what does victory do to any faction in any war? it emboldens them. The Coalition force refuses to do any real fighting, so the US and a handful of other countries are fighting this war. If we leave, our allies will be overwhelmed and be forced to withdraw, the coalition forces will run with thir hands over their heads, and iraq will be overtaken and someone worse than saddam will be put in power, therefore shattering all the progress weve made, placing even more lives in danger, and putting the pres in the hot seat for doing the incredibly stupid thing of pulling out, even though thats what roughly 50% of america wants him to do. all because we couldnt fight it out. that said, this an answering site, not a forum, so please do not post questions that just rant.

It is absolutely necessary for them to be there. The army is an occupying force. That is their job, on the other hand, I don't see any reason for Marines to still be there since main combat operations are suppose to be over. But hey, I don't want any of us over there. Since we're over there, definately need the Army and being a marine I wouldn't want to be over there without them or the Navy or Airforce.
