the letter I in sin is all about the self. It is sin when it is not about Jesus and all about I.

Well sins are when you go against what God commanded in the Bible, basically when you go against God. A tip on repenting your sins, just a tip, you should try to repent from your heart. you shouldnt just say it, and not mean it. You have to let your heart do the talking and pour it all out to God. In the Bible it says that you should forgive someone 77 x 7 times, and thats exactly what God will do. So if you go against the Ten Commandments, and you admit that you are wrong to god and tell Him what you did, and then ask for forgiveness, you have a bigger chance of going to heaven, and you would have a better realtionship with God!
Happy New Years

Well, read the bible. I had never read the Bible, I started reading and I was totally shocked. There are way more than 10 commandments. For example you are not buidling alters to worship with steps where you can see women or mens crotch. It is okay to enslave Jews, but you can't keep them very long. The rules are very long. My sister has studied the bible extensively, but always through some church group or other and when I showed the list of commandments she too was very dissappointed at some of the ridiculous rules in there. It doesn't mean there is no creator of course, God must be real, but the bible is simply a list of rules created in old times for old time people and the rules don't quite apply in modern day. If you are to avoid sin simply read the bible and look at the list of commandments. Some are a given, don't kill, don't steal, don't cheat, don't be a slut, don't be a lying sack of crap. I think almost everyon has sined and not repented, even the extraordinary religious types. I have not seen anyone slaughter sheep and offerred them to God.

Sin is ALL unrighteousness. It is subtle and embeds itself in the human thought in an almost undetectable manner. The default setting of the human mind is to love sin and hate God. Only through a great inner battle can this war be won. It doesn't get done overnight, so do not be discouraged. It is a life's work to find and then guard purity and peace, and well worth the effort here and now.

If you are familiar with the 10 commandments and the 11th commandment given by Christ, then you will have the blue print for living your life. Actually whether you are Christian or not, most of the 10 commandments are pretty good rules to live by. The 11th is Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Pretty good rules, pretty simple to follow. One wonders why it is so hard then for us all to do so. Oh, and just as an aside here, NO one, NO one has the right to tell anyone else that they are going to hell. No one has that inside information but God. These people need to clean their own spiritual houses before they presume to clean those of others. Happy New Year.

Christians seem to be vague about what sins are. Of course there's the ten commandments, but it's only ten things we should or should not do. The Bible says nothing about whether downloading porn, for example, is a sin. It seems that they label sin as anything they don't agree with, biblical or not.

First and foremost, you need to know that what makes you feel bad inside after having said something or doing something about it that makes you feel bad about yourself is what a personal sin feels like. You know your own set of morality and know when you have done any wrongs so you ask this question according to what biblical or religeous people may answer for you and give you the insight you think you need to punish or give yourself salvation from what you already are feeling bad about. You have the power and compassion to form this question,I think you know what you need to do to make any necessary amends to rectify it.Have faith in yourself and try to forgive yourself for lashing out as we all have done it.........Talk to your heart and you'll have your answer sweety.....Be good to yourself in the process......you really take action to your deeds and that makes you a very special person..........xoxo

Sins are God's laws that you've broken. Everyone has sinned. There is a saying in the bible that's close to, "He who has not sinned may cast the first stone." Everyone there had sinned, so the victim didn't die. To forgive your sins, pray. You should pray anyways, too. I hope this helps you out.

sweetie I believe as long as you don't do harm to someone else purposely then you'll have no problem going to heaven the only people who go to hell are the truly dark souls such as killers and rapists who are repeat offenders.....if you're looking for some answers I have found Sylvia Browne's Books to be helpful....Happy Holidays!!!
