i want to try and lose some weight, not a ton but like 10 or 15 pounds. i'm considering trying slim fast, but only for breaktfast not for lunch like it suggests. i've heard that it really does help people lose weight, but you also don't get to eat a real breakfast. i mean, wouldn't eating a grapefruit and some kinda carb for breakfast be good? well any thoughts/tips/whatever would be appreciated...

id say eat a lot for breakfast because it has to hold you over for lunch and if you eat something lightslimfast shake) you will splurge and overdo it for lunch in school(assuming you are in high school or something) and buy a second slice of pizza or sandwich and some chips or somethng...good luck and happy new year.

Slim Fast can be a good meal replacement but as far as losing weight, I'm really not very sure as to how well it works. I'm a big fan of Slim Fast bars because a lot of the time I need easy food fast! I've never noticed it giving me gas either. It's very smart of you to only be drinking drinks with zero calories. I've been drinking a lot more water lately and I really can see a HUGE difference. I feel better and I really have felt skinnier since I've started drinking more. Try out the Slim Fast diet, because even if it does or doesn't work for others, you never know how it will work for you until you have tried it for yourself. Good luck!

I've done my slim fast in two different ways. I'm not much of a breakfast eater anyway. But i would have my slim fast for breakfast and a salad or a baked potato or something healthy for lunch. Then for dinner, i would eat a bit more but I d have chicken and vegetables or something else that was healthy and i lost tons tons of weight. The second time around I had the slim fast for lunch and breakfast. I would be starving by dinner and would overdo it. You are hungry at first but your stomach adjusts to it. It has to be every time you start a diet because it has to get used to not eating like it was.

I tried that and I gained weight.
I did like many said, I ended up getting hungry and over eating for lunch or dinner.
Eat a healthy breakfast and a light lunch and do a slimfast for supper, this worked better for me. I tend to eat more at night anyway, so that way I was hungry at breakfast, and not the rest of the day.

Slim-fast provides a balanced breakfast with enough calories and vitamins to stave off hunger for 2-4 hours. If you decide to replace your breakfasts with it, you'll probably want to have a mid-morning snack as well (a piece of fruit or something light).

You won't lose weight as quickly as you would following a stricter diet, but it will definitely help.

If you decide you don't like Slim-Fast, you can eat normal food and just limit your calories at breakfast to about 200-300, with not much fat.

I wouldn't use Slim-Fast...it's loaded with sugar. You should eat a real breakfast with some carbs and protein---no sugar. That much sugar in the morning will just make you hungry all day.

Go high-protein and high-fat for breakfast - like bacon and eggs, ham and eggs, or whatever.

Keep to a low- or no-carb diet and your weight will come off really easily. If you stick to zero-carb (animal products only) for all of your meals, you'll drop 10 pounds within about 3 weeks.
