You may have a broken or bruised tailbone. You should speak to a orthopedist (bone doctor) and perhaps get an MRI of your spine and left side.

Try icing your tailbone in the meantime. The pain may be radiating down your leg from the tailbone and icing the tailbone area will help.

Most generally, if you've had lower back pain possibly extending into your hips and legs, sciatica is a starting point to read about. It's irritation of the nerves in the tail bone area. Hip problems can create their own pain on one side or the other.

Another area to read up on is called "flank pain"

I experienced something similar a few weeks ago (I am 30 weeks now) but I went to the doctor and it was a pulled muscle in my stomach. It was a sharp pain and then hurt for a couple days after but not too terrible. I guess the baby was pulling forward and I turned or something which caused it. It was better with muscle relaxers.

Pain in the lower back portion is mostly due to your seating posture. If you are an office worker or a student try changing the chair or change the seat.
