There seems to be an abundance of idiotic people on this site. Is there a way to somehow filter these people out?

I like this site and am learning to pick and choose more carefully. This is a community and just like outside the net communities you have to investigate your neighbors before you give them anything of value. Be nice as you walk by the crabgrass and share insights only with the St Augestines. Crabgrass types want to spread their aphids, then call out the exterminator = Report Abuse.
Remember, as in reality life, there are many types of personalities and you just have to go with the flow - only strike back at the harmful, ignore the idiotic; deal within the rules of the enviroment you are in.

The only way to filter them out is to ignore their answers. Did you know in Australia we have just discovered a new species of bird. We call it the turken. it's a cross between a bush turkey and a chicken. SERIOUSLY. it was on the news.

I don't think you can filter them out before they answer your question, but I think there is a way to block them from ever answering your questions again.

This is more of a place to ask questions to everybody. If this is really bothering you, rate some answers and make sure you pick best answers (this way, you'll reward someone who gave you an educated answer).

No. If you say "serious answers only" it doesn't stop them, and might even make them want to make more stupid answers. Just ignore them, and pick a best answer instead of letting it go to vote, where bad answers often win.

I would probably be one of those ppl you are talking about. Sorry to offend your intelligence. However I think the only way to totally get "those" ppl to stop answering your questions would be to add something like "educated answers only", "serious answers only" etc. I have seen people say...no yes or no answers please.
