Girl 9 years this month, Boy turned 5 in August, Girl turned 3 in September, and a Boy 1 year this month. There is 8 years between oldest and youngest obviously. 2 years and 8 months between 1 and 2, 2 years and 1 month between 2 and 3, and 2 years 3 months between 3 and 4. I am done having children and have just the right number for me. I wanted a large family, but not to large. I also wanted an even number of boys and girls. I have everything I had hoped for so I am done. If you and your husband want more and can care for them have them. I know a lady with 8, and they are well cared for and loved, which is all that matters. You will get strange looks and questions as your family grows, and I have even had some rude comments. Ignore them. I also found going from 1 to 2 to be the most difficult. Once I learned to devide my time it was easier to have 3 and 4. Also the 2 older kids may be able to play together and entertain each other a little, when you need to focus on the baby( feedings, diaper changes, ect). Good Luck.

I have 3 kids....9 years old (boy), 7 years old (girl), 4 years old (girl). The first 2 are 19 months apart, the last two are 3 years apart. I would have had several more if the deliveries had not been so difficult.
I think the choice about how many and how close is very personal and depends on your personality, your financial situation, your support system, and your personal choice. There is nothing wrong with you.
Going from 2 to 3 kids was a challenge because they now outnumber the parents. And you've always got 2 of them fighting. It's also hard because nearly everything in this world is geared toward the perfect family of 4 - vehicles, tables at restaurants, vacations. The third one does make things a LOT harder.

3 boys (one bathroom), ages 11 yrs, 4yrs, 2 1/2 yrs. With the two youngest ones, it's pretty great how close in age they are, because they can play together real well. We thought about having more, but it just wasn't really a financial possibility right now. We would have either wanted another one close to the others, wait a few years and have 2 more close together again, or no more at all. We'll see how it works. I always get the feeling of wanting to have more - you almost can't help it when you're looking at them so sweet and innocent . . . but just wait until they turn 11 and hit that pre-teen stage. Ugh. We're a pretty happy household for the most part, though.

I had 4 my oldest is 14 her brother would be 12 then another girl that is 9 and another son that is 7. I would have had more except due to a lot of complications and high blood pressure my ob strongly discouraged it. Some people love having kids others dont. To me it seemed the more I had the easier it got although expense wise it definitly got worse. Now I am remarried and have three more kids (step) and even with all of them I would have another in a heartbeat if I could.

I don't have any kids yet, but I want two, and so does my fiance. One boy, one girl, but it'd be all right if it were two boys or two girls. We don't want a single child, because s/he would have more trouble with social skills and such, and we certainly don't want more than two, because then you have one or more middle children, and that's not good (I'm a middle child, and like most, pretty f***ed up).
I think if they are close in age, they should be about two years apart, or wait until the older one is 6 or 7. But that's just my opinion. Different people will say different things and want different things.
