Let me answer my own questions. The first, why do I believe in God. Go outside at sunset, and look around. Look at the sky, look at the birds and the trees and the sheer magnificance of everything. Open a biology or life science textbook, and read how intricate all living things really are. Now you gonna tell me that all of this came from nothing? Or maybe it has just existed forever right? Ok but that's just as crazy as believing in a superior being, only that God has revealed himself to me through his Holy Spirit, which is VERY real yall. The Holy Spirit is more than a feeling or subtle emotion, it is what gives me strength every day to continue, and since I have had him I have had a whole new life and connection with God. I accepted Christ by faith, and God started to work wonders in my life. He delivered me from a life of drugs which had brought me to the point of near death, and sent me a wonderful woman who is now my fiance. When I worship him in church or at home in private...

I can feel his presance and it is the most awesome feeling ever, better than any drugs. I went through a period (recently) where I started to doubt my faith, and think, maybe I am naive, but I prayed fervently to God to reveal himself, and he did once again as he always does, sometims through subtleties which one might pass of as coincidence, sometimes through miracles which I have experienced like much needed money coming from literally nowhere, sometimes through people, strangers and friends alike. Alot of it (not all of it) you can say is just happenstance, but what you call coincidence is enough to convict a man of murder often so please I don't want to hear it. Prayer. Prayer is wonderful, and God does answer always. Not always how we want but always answers, hes always there, and when prayer seems to get nowhere I just keep praying and sooner or later he shows me what to do. That is what he wants; faith, persistance, seeking after him with all you heart, and in return he shall

never leave or forsake us. I am mostly rambling on, but this is all my true experience and feelings. I have learned that God will only reveal himself to those who actually want to find him. I have also learned that once you find him, many will turn away because the life he demands is very hard indeed, but the reward is great. Because I know God and have his Holy Spirit, I know that the message of the Bible is truth. The language and interpretations have changed, but the message is still there. Why am I posting all this? Just a bunch of random thoughts stemming from a day spent in the religious section of Y/A. God is very real, I am telling you because I love you all and I think we as Christians need to live as Christ commanded us to live. We need to love everyone more than ourselves, because that is what wins souls, not preaching or force feeding religion, but love. Anyways, I know this is all unorganized, but I am just sharing, not trying to make a point or an argument.

Christians, please share what God has done for you. Give others a glimmer of hope. Most importantly, pray for one another, and for the lost people out there. I love you all.

You are a wonderful testimony of Christ. First, thanks for sharing with us. Second congrats to you for changing your life, getting off drugs and finding God. When you were searching for things to make you feel good inside, you took drugs...they helped for a while but it was not long until the emptiness resurfaced and the drugs did not help with that empty lonely feeling. It was God you were looking for and in need of all along...you did not identify that...you only knew that something was missing. Somehow Satan sent people into your life to give you drugs, it was a way he used to decieve you and give you a sense of false happiness and a way not to need Christ. You were wsie to identify this. You overcame Satans trap to destroy you. See Satan gives you the desires of your heart for a season, in other words, in your case, he gave you a good feeling and numbed your pain for a short while....but before long, when the season passes he gives the pain and suffering...the result of our sins. I see God in so many lives...in much the same way. I see how the absence of God destroys people. I see how the submission to God changes lives. I see God in life everywhere. I have spent my life seeking God. I first gave my life to Christ when I was just old enough to know right from wrong. I continued to read the Bible and study his word. I searched many religions for a period to decide for myself why there was so much hate in the name of religion. I realized that religion is a organized set of beliefs on Mans ways. I continued to explore life. I studied people, events, and life. I came to know God personally and grow in my spirit and walk with him. I have met many believers along the way. I have seen how God works. I see God in change. I see God in miracles. I have seen God turn lives around in ways that man could never do without him. God has given us everything. He created us and the world around us. He has given man wisdom and knowledge. He has given us the ability to understand science and yet man wants to use the very things God has given us...against him. This is how Satan works. To really believ in God we must too, understand the spirit of the antichrist. When we really understand God and what is against God...life is so simple. It is frustrating to see that so many live in the dark...because they refuse to open their eyes and see the light. You see...everything...everything is either of God or against him. Satan comes to steal what God has given to us for good and to use it to hurt us. Satan wants to hurt us and destroy us. God gave us life and Satan gives us death. God gave us joy and Satan gives us pain. God gave us beauty and Satan gives us corrutpion. God gave us happiness Satan gives us grief, depression etc. WE only need to seek God and he will take everything and use it for good for us. Those who choose the evil ways will loose evrything good that God gave them and it will all turn for bad against them. God is everywhere. I see him in all things. I have seen the birth of children and the abortions of Satans destruction of life. That is a great example of how birth is a miracle of God and abortion is a evil destruction of innocent life God gives. Satan will try to destroy all people even innocent babies in the name of his hate to God. I have seen many overcome and this is real beauty. You are beautiful.

Thank you SO much for sharing this!

I believe in God because of nature, and I believe that He made me, and I was not an accident. And mostly just plain faith that God gave me.

God has done so many things for me! He healed my mom and dad from sickness, He took care of my mom when she could have died having a baby, and He helps me wake up every day and helps me survive all this sadness in this world.

Sometimes my faith is tested, though, because I am a very sensitive and emotional person, and the world is going nuts, and I wonder if God really does care for me. But then with all the small blessings around me, I remember the joys of being a Christian.

He is now giving us a New Year, and even if the world doesn`t heal (in fact I think it will get worse and worse) I know that He will take good care of His children, being the best Father anyone could have. (And just to let you know, my dad would agree with me on this.)

I agree with you. On the one hand I can see how people don't believe in a superior being. I mean, what with all the tradgedies and disappointments that some people experience, it is easy to lose faith in God. Yet it is true when you say that God reveals himself through nature. I personally believe that the beautiful sunsets and magnificent rainforests are all the work of a higher power. Yet to each is own. No hard feelings.

thank you for sharing your story of faith. It always encourages me when I hear these. What has God done for me? Well the obvious is salvation through Christ, without that I would be lost forever. God has revealed Himself to me in ways that can only be described as incredible. I struggle, as does my husband with health issues. Some people tell me that "if I had more faith we would be healed". However I have learned throughout this life that God reveals Himself in the midst of the pain. The Holy Spirit speaks directly to my heart when I listen. He is my Savior, my closest friend, and my Lord!!

Let me answer you question and discard your worthless detail. This attempt to ask answers, it really not necessary. If you have a statement of whatever, find a blog.

Christians believe the words of the prophets who spoke God's words. For the Christians, those words are documented in the Christian bible. Christian, follower of Jesus, believe what God has revealed and what he has done.

Jesus was born (God's promise of a redeemer), was executed (by the Romans at the requests of the Jews), raised from the dead (by God), and will come again at the end time. Jesus is the first born of the dead and it is the Christian hope for life eternal, yes eternal life.

There is no "why" in belief, you believe is or you don't. God, who existed before, created everything you can see, and when this creation ends, we will be with him forever.

So next time, try reading God's book and understand what he says. God is not here to perform miracles at your request. Try reading Psalm 100 to start with.

God lives in a far higher realm outside of humans. As it is written in the Bible: "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day". [2 Peter 3:9] No human knows exactly what God does. There have been some instances where God has intervened in some human circumstances. God is in control of everything in the entire world, including the weather. Christians concern their life with thanking God and praising and worshipping him. It is part of our intimate relationship with him. When we keep our prayer life devoted and our commitment to him of keeping Jesus' teachings and commands, this pleases God. Pleasing God is our most imperative priority.

i think faith in God can be stupid or divine.
i believe in God because He exists. good and righteousness are better than evil, wickedness, conspiracy and perpetual slavery through oppression bandage and unrighteous dominion.
Satan accuses God of the same things. Calling all people slaves if they follow HIM. but from what i see! Satan has no boundaries and gives the best of wealth and power to those that merely oppress others, even especially, those that believe in Christ.
jesus christ was given legal authority of this planet and satan is a thief to try and take it away.
Jesus became the sacrificial lamb and atones for our sins where in we would be lost to divine justice and eternal punishment. Where satan rules over them and completely without mercy unless your conversion is something a little more evil than divinity.

I believe in God because he is the reason I breathe this second. He is the reason I am typing this answer. He is the order of the world and the motivation behind everything we do - acknowledge this or not, it is truth. I have proof of him mostly through events - there is no such thing as coincidence - that are to amazing not to be sent from him.

I believe in God because i have felt the holy spirit before. His presence feels so good. Just being in love with God is wonderful. He sent his son jesus christ to die on the cross for us. He paid the price for our sins. Without God i wouldn't have graduated from high school I mean i sucked at math. I hated math. If i hadn't passed the exit exam in math i would have failed 12 grade. I prayed to God for his help. I helped me pass. God got me car this year. I don't have to pay for it because i got it for a gift. I've been believeing in God for a car for a long time. God is good.

i believe in God because He saved me from myself! i, too, got lost in drugs/alcohol and didn't have a clue how to stop...God saw fit to save me from my own self-destruction and has blessed me abundantly ever since! I have a wonderful husband, an intelligent daughter and great health! I have many other things as well, but the most important thing worth mentioning here is i have been given Grace, Forgiveness, Hope, and Faith...
He has performed literal miracles for me (and you, too!)
