It is not recommended to paint anything below 10 degrees C ( approx. 50 F ) The other thing you need to also consider is the drying time of both Acrylic Latex or Alkyd Oil-based paints.
The higher the sheen ( amount of shiney-ness ) the longer it takes to dry. I personally would not be doing any exterior painting unless you had a consistent 8 hrs. + of 50 - 60 degrees F.
If you check the side of any can of exterior paint it should always state the drying tempeatures and times.

The paint manufacturer has the best answer for that, if you have a container it should say on the label or there will be an 800 number to call. My personal opinion is no lower than 40 degrees for 3 to 4 days.

Both oil and acrylic/latex paint can be used above 40 degrees as long as they do not freeze during the night. Cold temps slow the drying process. Painting in the sun helps alot. Just do not risk ruining your hard work.

Should be fine though the dry time will be a bit longer in the cold. The paint I use (Sherwin Williams Super Paint) can be used in 35F. Lowes Valspar line says the same thing.

Under 60 degrees farenheit, you risk having peeling paint down the line

Under 40 degrees farenheit, you are guaranteed to have peeling paint in a few weeks or months.

I would suggest 60 degrees and if lower, place additives in the paint.
I'm doing the same thing, but waiting till it warms up a bit, cuz I've got two stories to 30'

Usually about 40 degrees (F). Read the can of paint, it'll tell you..

Generally, you would not want to paint when it is less than 60 degrees outside (F. not C.) or in high humidity.

The paint can should also have guidelines.
