Because teens are pretty much responsible for getting their own butts out of bed in the mornings. When it comes to the little ones the parents are more responsible.

I agree with you, When i had my child 20 years ago, I made a promise to myself and to others that when my child is a baby till 10 years old, that child will go to bed at 730, when he turned 10 i uped the time till 830, till he reached the age of 18, then i told him 9 i wanted in bed, till he is 20, when he is 20 he can go to bed whenever, when he was 16 to 19, on the weekends he was aloud to go to bed at 10, What these mothers do to little little kids is soo terrible and ridulcoulous, If i had a law put into my name this law would be my times, and there will no teenagers out, they will be in the bed where they belong, I call it the T.C. law, lol

Young children need more sleep and are more resistant to naps. Teenagers are responsible for their lives and have to use this time to learn to manage themselves. As a teenage I was so busy I could not wait to get to bed at night. Between school and work teenagers have enough going on to know when the right time for them to go to bed is. Young children just get cranky and whiney.

Little kids need more sleep than teens. Besides teens are gonna stay up as late as they want regardless of what you tell them 2 do.

Because small children need more sleep than teenagers. Also, small children need more of a routine than teenagers do. If you let your small child stay up late one night, it can take days (or longer) to get them back into their normal routine. I know my son (who is 5) finds a lot of comfort in routine, knowing that certain events are going to come at the same time every day.

small children need larger amounts of sleep. Teenagers can get by on the amount adults do, a little bit more. Their clocks are already set, so to speak.

If you want mommy and daddy to tell you when to go to bed, and brush your teeth just tell them and leave us alone with your lack of grammar and text-messaging speak.
