wild: Firstly; God is in the Saving business and a God of LOVE ! Why did He have written the things you stated, then ? God was warning the nation of Israel [Jews] that if they wanted a relationship with Him, they would have to abide by specific "do's and don'ts" to remain His chosen people. ( Of course, God created humans and He fore-knew that humans could never live up to these "dos and don'ts" !) It does God no good to know this but the people had to come to realize that they did not have the where-with to confrorm to these standards. So; God implemented a reward punishment system, EXTERAL Motivation for the Jews [Israelites]. Of course, the Israelites blew it BIG time and God eventually rejected them as His chosen people. Only a select few in the Old Testament ever, "made the grade" and that is because God employed INTERNAL motivation with these successful ones. God was not attempting to "SAVE" the vast majority of mankind at this juncture in history, as Jesus Christ [Messiah] had not arrived on the scene, as of yet. God will "save" the Jewish nation later on, in His plan for man-kind, as outlined in the New Testament [Covenant] of the Holy Bible. Basically; humans without the in-dwelling of God's Holy Spirit to supply him or her with the Internal motivation to TRANSFORM and have a RELATIONSHIP with their Creator, will be living with the "cause and effect" [EXternal Motivation] of his or her very own choices unless they want a relationship with their Creator [Jesus Christ]. It all "boils down" to free choice. All in all, God's behavior isn't the real issue, concerning your question, but yours and mine ! God is a God of LOVE and He [Jesus being God] is in the SAVING BUSINESS !!! The whole Plan for mankind involves a PROCESS being fulfilled by Jesus Christ [God] throughout all of history, concerning the past - present - and future ... the Holy Bible is still the world's # 1 seller of all time ... do you think that this is because God [Jesus] would leave us in ignorance and without opportunity to make a free-will choice ? !!! That is not a God Who hates people.

You have not had any kids that you had to raise, therefore you don;t know anything about correction. Remember that God is trying to preserve each existing and future generation from them selves and others. God's definition of sin is basically the 10 commandments and the continuous upholding of them. If we don't change some of our rebellious ways we may be in a worse chastiment period than they were. To those countries that have upheld righteousness God preserves that country. To people who twist the contents of scripture and tell others so, the New testament says that the millstone option my be a better choice for them
42And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
I don't have time to go and chase down your verses, just remember God knows how to be angry with His chosen and unchosen as well as He knows how to be loving and merciful to all.

God is jealous and vengeful yes, but not near to the extent that he is loving and forgiving, merciful and compassionate. A testimony to his grace: you woke up today. He is not, however, a murderer; everything he does is just. You want me to go verse by verse? If it will honestly make a difference, msge me and I will, but somehow I don't think anything I could say would hold any bearing over you. The fact is that God is slow to anger, and quick to forgive, but when one invokes his wrath and does not humble themselves and repent, it is a scary scary sight.

If Eve had not been tempted by the serpent, nor Adam, God would not be so upset. In my point of view, we're just an experiment, like the dinosaurs. But God is forgiving, and the antichrist, or Satan, or Lucifer, is tempting. If you sin, you pray to God and apologize. Satan is, according to the King James version, evil and tempting. He tempted Jesus. We should learn from Jesus that we are not Satan's pawns, thus he cannot force us to do anything. But you have your own opinion. I'll stop going all preacher on you :)

All the things you describe are the qualities of justice, so I see no problem with them as you would like me to. But that is because you have been brainwashed .Did your mother make you wear dresses, as part of a liberal social conditioning experiment when you were a kid or what? Be a man please.
I want a good God who is just, who punishes the wicked and those who walk proudly in the earth, saying there is no God, also I want a God who can take vengeance, who knows how to fight, who can see the differenece between him who is right and him who is wrong.I want a God who judges therefore, and I want a God who is jealous because He loves me and wants to be loved back, not replaced with some idiotic idol or sex.Yes I want a God who is normal, not a lavender wearing fruitcake.
Good question, thanks for asking.

That's exactly what the New Agers say, since some of the movements in the New Age are actually waiting for Lucifer, the lightbearer(whom they know not as Satan the deceiver). In the Bible we call that exchanging the truth of God for a lie. Cain did evil and evil is now being justified by blaming God (?????)

Yeah, I agree w/first poster. You're basing your info on the Bible--most of which is fiction, in my opinion. The rest is like a game of telephone..probably started off a certain way but by now the original message is so twisted there isn't much use trying to decipher it. A more reliable source, I think, would be your intuition--what do you think God is (if you think he/she/it exists at all)? Go with that.

There is a great deal in the bible that I personally find offensive. My view of God/Goddess is very different. Non-Judgment, Loving, compassionate, and so forth. As far as the Antichrist is concerned, I don't believe in any such thing. I think revelations is a fable. The bible was written for the people of that time. Not for us. Hopefully, there are many of us who are just a bit more spiritually evolved than they were.
