When there are Christians on here that actually say that Christians who don't agree with them aren't really Christians. And that everyone, including those other Christians will be sorry on judgement day. I'm not a Christian, but that is offensive to me.

I was under the impression that all you need to do is accept Jesus as your savior to go to heaven, and that the religion also teaches not to judge.

Personally I think all you guys are the WORST witnesses I could imagine, and thanks to you I would never call myself a Christian. I could never purposely be in the same group of people as you.

Honestly, I'm not trying to provoke anyone, I just want to let you know that if you are trying to witness you are doing an unimaginably poor job. I think we all know the type of people I'm talking about, and this doesn't refer to all you Christians on here, because many of you seem to be very tolerant.

I agree with whoever said there are crazy people in every religion, but most religions aren't trying to witness to people. My beef is if you want someone to join your religion and be saved like you, why would you be a jerk to them and others?

It is sad that those people ruin it, but they do.
It says that Christianity obviously doesn't do anything for them, so why would it do anything for anyone else?

That Ghandi movies sounds good whoever wrote that.

ME, I think you are confused about what I mean. I am not judging all Christians, and I think a lot of them have already realized that. I don't hate Christians.
I'm simply wondering why anyone would want to join a religion when someone tells you that you are going to hell if you don't believe it, and when there are people that judge you even inside of the religion. All I'm saying is I don't need that. I'm not saying there aren't good people in Christianity or that I hate Christians or anything like that.

That is the biggest reason I am NOT Christian.

As a child I remember hearing people pray for something bad to happen to someone else so they would "Find Jesus"

I am a devout pagan (a kahuna) because it answers my spiritual questions, and teaches me to live in harmony with my brothers and sisters.

Life is too short to argue about religion. and God is TOO big for any ONE religion.

You do only have to except Jesus, but you cannot just say the words, you have to mean it. But, unfortunatley we are not all tied in a perfect little pouch with a pretty bow on it that says, please open me I am a pleaseant and perfect witness. Some are excited about their faith and tend to be pushy. Others are loving and kind and plant the seed and let God do the rest, and others are frustrated and want you to just believe, not understanding that Faith is not something you can make someone have. God has to help them with that and the only thing you can do is pray for them. And although we are not all perfect they are my brothers and sisters in Christ, and because God loved me first even though I was not perfect, I choose to Love them and their souls and even your soul even though they and you are not perfect because that is what God wants us to do. However saying that becoming a Christian is out of your reach because of the way some act is very ludicrious. Maybe you could be the Christian that made a difference in the exisiting ones, by settling an example for them. Who knows, what you could accomplish with God? Do we all not have our differences and faults? Sure we do, and God doesn't love them or you any less than he did in the first place.

Personally as a Christian I'm not offended by what you've said, because I agree with you. I've been told that because I wasn't a certain denomination that I'm going to hell anyway. To me, being a Christian means accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and believing that he died and rose again on the third day. This is, to me, the major requirement. All the other "requirements" are merely the different denomination's interpretations of the Bible.

I'm a Christian, and I agree with you. The only time I'll say that a person claiming to be a Christian really isn't one, is if they attempt to misuse Scripture to justify sin. For example, the Westboro Baptist Church.
Usually, when a Christian says that someone else is not a "real" Christian, it's in an effort to separate themselves from another person's beliefs.
As for those who say that others "will be sorry on judgement day"...well, I agree with you. Who are they to judge? Only God knows our hearts.

You are right. There are some who try to do good, but end up doing not so good, and even doing damage to others who may have been receptive to truth. The best way to witness is to live in love, so that others will want to find out what is up. But to hit people on the head with a frying pan just doesn't get the right results.

Well, like you said, some of the christians are tolerant. You can't expect that just because someone says they are christian that they truly represent what that is. You have to remember, christians are human, they are sinners. Christian means "christ-like". That means christians have to TRY to be christ-like. It doesnt mean they are. They are sinners, which is why they need christ. Also, every one is an individual. Just because they may all call themselves christians, doesnt mean they view it the same way. they may have the same core beliefs, but interpretation will vary. I hope you understand this. not all muslims, buddhists, pagans etc are the same in their beliefs, so you cant expect christians to be. Those ignorant people are in every religion. And i agree, they suck. But we arent all that way.

i know you were so upset...i am born again Christian.my statement of faith is that...when Jesus was still here,He taught us these two great commandments.First is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mid and soul, and the second is to love our neighbours as we love our selves. He even gave us the great commision to preach the Good News.As a christian our responsibility is reach out the world for the Lord.we have to share salvation, love of God and how God change our life.We are the living bible to unbelievers.there are some denomination who are preaching their religion.Their's is the true religion and by joining them you will be save.i disagree this kind of teaching. The Bible is very clear...John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.Religion can't save you. It's only accepting and believing Jesus.we have been save through the grace of God,
Christianity is not a religion,it's a relationship between God and man.Christ died for our sins.we are all sinners and fall short for the glory of God and the wages of sin is spiritual death but the gift of God is eternal life.

i feel the same way. I am not tolerant of certain things , because I dont want my children growing up in a world that has gone crazy. I try very hard not to judge others, and I teach my kids the same. But I dont thind we should be tolerant of everything and agree with everyone because of what society tells us.youre supposed to show people in a loving way when they are sinning not in a judgemental way. because we are all sinners!

I agree with you.

People need to visit other countries and experience other cultures and religions. My recent trip to India, Burma and Thailand was fascinating and awesome.

I'm sure there are people that will give me a thumbs down on my answer.

But I really do respect all religions and do not preach anything to anyone except peace and love.

If you haven[t seen the movie "Gandhi"...watch it...it's very cool. Long, but good.

That is so very true. Those people know who they are and they love to wallow and live in their deception of the world. I, being a christian, am personally offended by these people who teach not to judge, but judge everyone and anyone they see. It these people who make chriatianity such a sought-after religion in the way of criticism. It is because of this double-mindedness that thrives in christianity that causes the rest of us non-double-minded christians to be stereotyped.

In the most other religion, each member follows the rules to the tee. In hinduism you will find the that very few people break the hindu rules of religion and isn islam very few muslims break the rules of the Quoran (please disregard my spelling... no offence meant here..cant spell sometimes). Only in christianity do you find so many say-one-thing-live-another people. Only in christianity do you find such a high number of 25%, 45%, 55%, 32.5 % christians. And it is only in christianity where our God is so merciful to accept them.

I have been a Christian since childhood. I agree with you that Christians questioning the salvation of other Christians over non-essential differences is wrong and offensive.
You have stated the essentials, accepting Jesus as Savior.
I am sorry that other Christians have left you with a negative view. Please remember that it is your relationship with God that counts and that Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.
