Since it is only downloaded and not installed I cann't simply uninstall, I guess.

Just right-click on it and choose delete.

Even though you un-install the program from the control panel or using the programs un-installer, traces of it will remain in your registry. If you have Norton System Works you can use the utility which removes the program, related files and registry entries. Nortons calls it a government wipe. Good luck.

New PC's often come bundled with lots of unnecessary software. Go to control panel, add/remove programs, and then select and remove all the programs from the list that you don't want.

If you haven't installed anything then just delete the icon.
