Maybe if you let a book that has been distorted and twisted control your life than you don't have to think anymore. Is that why you follow so blindly?

I think that is why Christians are so close minded. They are taught blind faith its a sin to question the bible. This is the core definition of a cult, Just substitute the book for a leader.

Well, as a Christian, I'll be the first to admit that the Bible has been distorted. At the same time, however, it isn't so bent out of shape as of yet that God's original message is completely destroyed. To answer your original question: yes, some people do like to be controlled. But not everyone is a mindless zombie, you know. There are plenty of people out there, myself included, that question certain aspects of our faith. You don't have to necessarily agree with every part of a religion in order to believe that the overall message is true.

Some people as more dispetible to trickery. But that is only if you are searching for something, or else if you are just too stupid to understand what is going on. So that is really it. It is more simple than most think. Most follow blindly becaus eof stupidity or else they are weak minded at the moment, and they need a "change."

"Free will" is like poison to some people, They need to be told what to do. People whom follow something blindly or on "faith" are controlled wether they admit ir or not.

People want to be controlled, they want to live a pleasent life but without having to think for themselves, they'll blindly jump on the bandwagon, those kind of people are useless to society.

We follow God's word, because God is much smarter than me or you.

It is so easy to call a Christian naive. The thing you fail to realize is that our assertiveness about our faith in the Bible is due to the fact that we KNOW it is God's word, and because we have the Holy Spirit. Now you can say it's been twisted, which it hasn't, and you can ask stupid questions that don't mean anything (can God make a stone so big he cant move it...etc) and you can call us anything you want, but the fact is that the Holy Bible is the word of God, and you have free will to accept it or reject it.

So, let me see if I understand you.
You think the Bible (I'm assuming this is the "book" you are referring to) controls Christian's lives, and that is why you are afraid of Christianity?
Honestly, I've been a Christian for most of my life, and the last thing anyone has ever accused me of is being "controlled". I think for myself, I have my own ideas, and I do pretty much what I want to do.
The Son has set me free!!

Perhaps if you could be Plain and Simple? What book are you refering to?

Could it be that you have been Tainted by Parents or perhaps a Friend that used Pesudo Christianity and Not the Real Thing?

Perhaps you need to hear what GOD has to say....?

(Jeremiah 29:11-to-13) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

(Jer 29:12) Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

(Jer 29:13) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Have a Blessed New YEAR! Thanks, RR

Most people do not like to be controlled, however even children are always testing limits. I think most people have an inner need for limits. They spend most of their life testing them to determine what and where they are.

The Bible is important to me, because it tells me about my God and my Savior. I do not see it as a book of laws, we are saved by grace not the law.

I am sure you have heard all that before.

I defintely don't like being controlled.

But there are some people that have a personality that sort of exposes them or encourages that behavior. I hate to see that. I like individual thinkers and independent people.

Yes, in America they think they are free by having them vote as if there's really a choice between the two power parties.
