sounds like gas, and it could be your gall bladder...drink some water...or take some antacids, but if it persists, and there is a fever,...go to the hospital...

It could be nothing at all or it could be more serious. If it continues, you should call a care line. Usually most Doctors have an after hour person to help answer medical concerns to see if you should be checked out right away or if it can wait until next business day.
Where exactly does it hurt in your ribs? I know I had gall bladder attacks in the right side rib cage area. That is very painful, the worst. It was on and off, finally had the surgery done which was less painful then a gall bladder attack. Do not hesitate to get professional advice.

It could be a lung problem - If your lungs are pushing against your ribs during breathing. Its not life threatening, but you should see a doctor.
